So good to hear! I’m 10 years out (sleeve) and have regained back 40 of the 80 lbs I initially lost. I never could lose any more than the initial 80 lbs. I never met goal and remember how upset I was over that. Oh how I wish I was still there now! I’m happy to hear your reset worked for you. I need to make a real commitment and go back to the basics. I’ve been ‘grazing’ for too long!

Yes the restart worked but I fell off several times Now I have made serious commitment to losing and lost 60 pounds. I’m on maintenance now that I’m down to 152. Never again will I allow myself to get back big. I weigh myself daily and I’m committed to keeping it off You can do it. Just focus on losing in 5 pound increments

Congratulations! May I ask after you gained into the two's again, did you find that when you refocused and lost those 60lbs, was it the same, easier, or harder than when you had tried in the past prior to surgery to lose the weight?

Hi it was the hardest weight to lose before I got serious if that makes sense. Once I saw a pic that was sent to me that did it. I looked unrecognizable to myself. That is when I became serious and lost the weight. Dropped 14 pounds in one month and was off and running towards my goal

of dropping back down to 167. Hit than and kept going.

  3. Hi everyone,

I was sleeved 9/11/2013 and this ten years has definitely been a journey weight loss rollercoaster for me. I started at 239 and currently weight 152. I lost down to 167 and that was my lowest for years. I slowly gained again after the lost of my parents and last year weighed 212. I refocused and lost 60 pounds down to my lowest at 152. I’ve been focused and watchful of my meals and started intermittent fasting which has been a lifestyle change for me. Still the best decision I ever made

  4. Check it now if you’re grazing you have to pull back. You will look up and 3 pounds is 30 pounds and you will have to start over. I just restarted and lost and it was hardest thing to do. My advice is to go back to basics and incorporate intermittent fasting. It had been game changer for me. Train yourself to only eat when hungry and let’s be clear we aren’t not hungry just eating because we can.

I'm interested in know how you lost the 50lbs. I had my sleeve in 2014 and have gained 20 lbs from my lowest weight. I never really lost all that I wanted or got to my "goal weight" and I just want to get back on track and stay on track that's one of the reasons I joined these support forums to get ideas and accountability partners

Hi just now seeing this. I went pack to basics and intermittent fasting. The two Protein Shakes and one meal is what you have to do to get weight moving. Also you can never eat regular again to maintain the weight loss. That’s what I found works for me. I keep my calories around 1000 or less per day and I’m fine. If I splurge one day I only eat a little of the bad item. Also no leftovers of not good food choice items

  7. I think it’s possible to reset your sleeve and start to loose again. You have to go back to the regimen post surgery and drink two Protein Shakes and 1 meal per day. It will come off. I just lost 50 pounds over 6 month period and I had sleeve 10 years ago. If you have more questions let me know

  8. Hi I’m five weeks out. Take your time and know the recovery is different for each person. My insision opened after 4 weeks due to tension on incision so don’t wear any low underwear. I had them on because I started my cycle and now I’m dealing with open incision that I need additional surgery in few weeks to correct. Drink plenty of Protein Shakes as your appetite will be non existent

  9. Hi everyone j

to the OP- we have almost the EXACT same stats, including height etc! i am in the same place right now. lowest was 165, settled around 172. started a new job, had a VERY trying semester of grad school and managed to gain 6 lbs. not much, but it ALL sits right around my middle like a gross spare tire.

your post and the responses were enlightening. i am planning a reset for next week and going to go as hard as i can until i see movement. i too have found myself grazing AND eating a lot more food than i should. i also have been hitting the soda, which i KNOW is wrong for me.

going to just try and really focus. my stressful semester is pretty much wrapped up, and i decided to take a bit of an easier track in my grad program so that should help. settling into my new job so that is also better. ready to re-focus on ME.

btw- Santa is bringing our entire family a cushy membership to our local Y for Christmas! that will help too..

hi how has it been going. I fell off and need to do reset. My mom is very ill so that has thrown me off. I am refocused and starting to to do another reset. I will be posting my stats weekly
ust checking in. So I had gained back up to 183. I have gotten it back off and now am 168 again. It was a hard grueling month but I did one week of liquid and Protein shakes and it came off. I'm trying to stay focused and on track. Goal is to lose 2 pounds this weekend. I have a dr appointment on 3-15 and I want to be at least 164 when I scroll in there

  11. I have to share this. I finished 5 day pouch test today and weighed in at a 6.4 pound loss. This proves to me that diet is everything in weight loss. I regained 33 pounds while vigorously exercising 5 days per week. This does not mean I will stop my exercise routing for health, toning and help with loss but diet is the real key. I am going to seriously consider the 5:2 diet to help with get the rest of the weight off and help maintain. Another plus has been a feeling of power over constant carb craving and the power of Portion Control. Happy to be back on this site.

I can't get focused. I keep eating pita chips....I'm going to just start now and forget about trying to wait until tomorrow.....u said it Diet is the key
Don't wait start right away. Just focus on getting through this one day meeting Protein goals, Water goals, and keeping carbs low. Go to sleep tonight feeling good about what you ate that day. Then the next day same thing. Once a few days past it starts getting easier. So far down 6.4 pounds and will weigh in tomorrow hopefully adding to this total. Good luck!
that's what I have done.....got all my Water and just finished Protein shake. I will check in tomorrow. I m made at myself because I keep falling off. I was so dedicated before I went to Paris. Gotta reprogram my mind
