    August Sleevers?

Went for my first "walk" for exercise today! Nice walk in the country to the creek and back. Hard to quench my thirst so I just poured the water bottle over my head to get some relief (I'm in tx and it is HOT). Felt good to exercise. We can do this!!!! Every day it gets a little bit better!!

    August Sleevers?

I really like the premier Protein shakes at costco. A vanilla and a chocolate one. They are 30 grams of protein each. They come pre made and ready to drink. They taste good REALLY cold. I pour the chocolate over ice in the morning for Breakfast and I pour the vanilla (room temp) into my hot chocolate and it is sooo yummy! 60g of protein done! This was actually my biggest fear before surgery. How will I get all my protein? It has turned out to be the least of all my concerns. Good luck!!
  9. I am 2 weeks out and the pain in my chest and shoulder are awful!!! I am going to try the gas x I guess. It only happens when I drink too much of anything. I am trying to sip but I can never quench my thirst!!

    August Sleevers?

Okay! Feeling much better today! I went ahead and scheduled an appt with my doc and went with all my issues! He fixed them ALL! Told me to cut my antidepressant in half and take it!! Woohoo! Just hearing him say it made me feel so much better! He said I can also take my Prilosec in pill form! He said forget the chewable multis and take Walmart generic prenatal which is very small AND it takes care of my Iron requirement too! Woohoo!! Lastly he gave me a script for my yeast infection that the antibiotics caused. Life is good now and I see it getting better each day now. Only thing is the pain I feel in my chest and shoulder when I drink too much. He said that would go away but man it's painful! Thanks everyone! Looks like your suggestions were spot on!! Jenn

    August Sleevers?

I was sleeved on 8-19. I am 3 weeks out and down 17 pounds. I miss taking a big drink of water!!! Sip sip sip. I get chest/shoulder pains when i drink just a little too much. I am so confused with all the different recommendations by doctors. Everyone seems to be able to do things at different times. I am scared to screw things up! My main issue is taking pills. I miss this more than food. I just want to be able to take my anti-depressants without crushing. I am not able to crush the ones I take so I had to get a different type and crushing those are horrible so i have not been on my meds for 3 weeks. I also want to be able to take the Prilosec without opening and putting in pudding. I want to gag when I do this. I can't get the chewable Multivitamin down at all so have not taken it at all. My Protein intake is okay. I use the vanilla shake as creamer and also add it to my low cal hot chocolate. I seem to like it either hot or over ice. My major incision site is still sore. I think if I drank more it might feel better??? Went through this whole thing with no pain meds. I am allergic to most so Tylenol was it for me. So glad to find this forum. I love seeing how everyone else is doing and what has/has not worked for others. Thanks for listening! Jenn
