Protein on purees
So I'm 9 days out and on purées. My question is about getting my 70g Protein in. I am only allowed to have 3 meals a day but only 2-4 tbsp at a time so how can i get all that protein in. And also if I'm taking my Vitamins with my meals I'm assuming its ok to take a sip of Water to get the vitamins down. And is my Protein shake considered a meal. So i have to stop drinking water 15 mins before and resume 1hr after drinking my shake? Just wondering what everyone's doing as I don't want to mess up my new pouch. I'm suddenly feeling confused!

Graduated to puree!
Dinner was ground up baked chicken and puréed squash. About 2 tablespoons of each. My kids cracked up when they saw my plate and almost died when I burped and told them I was full! Great feeling to have dinner with them and feel somewhat normal. The hardest part is no drinking with eating. I used to drink like a gallon of water while eating. Those days are gone!

August Sleevers?
Hi jenn. I was having a hard time crushing my pills and taking so I just cut my pills in half and take them with sips of Water. Much better. Crushing pills is nasty. My incisions are sore too I was done in the 26th. Each day is s little better. I find the more active I am the worse the soreness is but this too shall pass

August Sleevers?
I was sleeved on the 26th and have been doing great. Drinking water is fine and taking protein shakes just fine. My 2 major incisions still sore but tolerable. I did have an emotional breakdown yesterday probably because family got together and made a smorgasbord of food and I couldn't have anything. Just craving a taste I real food. Tired of broth, jello, and popsicles. Anyhow I know it's all part of the process. It will all be worth it. To all of us on our way to healthier beings , keep hour heads up and be strong! We can do this!

Restless
I can sleep on my sides with careful turning. I am tired of sleeping on my back as well. Two of my incisions are sensitive so turning to my sides needs to be done carefully. With time things will be better that's what I keep telling myself ????

This is hard!
Thanks all! It's a good way to test me haha and yesterday I went to the grocery store for the 1st time and it wasn't bad. Just craving food in my mouth since I haven't ate anything solid since last Saturday. Not sure when I get to start on purées but hope soon. And in regards to food on tv. Lol. One of the 1st commercials I saw in hospital was burger kings new burger that is topped with French fries. Lmao. Looked good but had no desire to eat! I stay away from food network cuz that's just a tease but I think smelling good food is harder. But I'm strong and can do this for me!

I had my sleeve surgery on Monday and was discharged home yesterday! I have to say I feel pretty good overall. The hardest part is cooking for my kids and husband and watching them eat. I'm not hungry but I crave having food in my mouth as I have not ate anything solid since Saturday. This is going better than some people told me it would. It's all mind over matter. I'm getting my fluids in and can't wait to start protein shakes and purées. I'm curious to see what my weight loss will be at my 1st postoperative appt. looking forward to a lighter, healthier me ???? - Newbie
