  1. Has anyone been banded in Germany? I may have to self pay if the military doesn't cover my band. I wanted to prevent having to fly back to the States or to Mexico so I wanted to check out docs and prices in Germany.

Send me some feedback. I'm in Wiesbaden near Frankfurt.

    Thanks,

    Dee

  2. Hey guys,

Let me introduce myself. I am a Christian and I love the Lord with all my heart. I am not yet banded. My insurance is Tricare and we are not sure if it will pay or not. I cannot afford to self pay yet. I am saving but it will be at least 6-8 months before I am there. If I do self pay it will have to be in Mexico. ( The only place I can afford) But I know God has a way of working things out. I have been overweight my entire life. Of 3 children, I got the fat gene. I am currently living in Germany-due to military. I was in the states for a month and my flight was delayed. I missed my psych eval. Now, I have to start from scratch and it takes several weeks to get an appointment. But, I know God has a perfect day assigned to me. Please all, pray that Tricare pays for this band and that I get a surgery date soon. I really need this help from the band. I am tired of living with the weight and I need help in getting it off.

  3. Please keep us posted. I am in Germany and there is only Landstuhl treatment facility near Ramstein, AFB. They don't do gastric or any wls. Everyone here has to see a civilian for wls. Do you think they will do the LB? I'm going to try even if I am turned down.

  4. Hi Kelly,

I'm new as well. I just joined to get some support for my journey. I have a psych consult 13 Aug and I'm waiting on my nutrition consult. I weigh 289 and I'm 5'2. I, too, am morbidly obese. I'm hoping this band will help me get back to a weight more favorable to my health. The weight is really causing me problems......knee pain, winded when climbing stairs, unable to run, hard to tie shoes, and the list could go on and on for hours. But, I've decided with the blessings of my DH to pursue this journey and I am optimistic that I will be banded by October with some obvious results by Christmas. Many blessings for your journey.
