  1. I would strongly discourage you from drinking anything within about 5 minutes before or 30 minutes after a meal. Why? On Tuesday, at work, I accidentally forgot that rule, and drank some Water with my lunch. Then I had to run to the bathroom and vomit for about an hour afterwards because the Water just tossed the food out of the sleeve.

It's a hard habit to break, but as long as you sip slowly all day, you can stay hydrated. Just stay focused.

  2. So I don't think there's anything wrong with this, but I can't help but notice that the profile pics for almost everyone (especially the ladies on here) make everyone look like they are about 21 years old and not a single pound overweight.

Even people that haven't had any surgery or lost any weight, the pic of their smiling face appears to be that of a 21 year old who is not overweight in the slightest. Do people just post pics that are from before they gained weight? Pics from when they were 21? Or are some people finding the "perfect angle" that makes you look really thin? How does one do this?

Maybe I want to make a "glamor shot" picture so I can also be a sexy 21 year old woman. How can I accomplish this?

  3. As I've been introducing foods I've kept my phone timer next to me because I have struggled with learning to chew slowly and to take breaks between bites. So I time my chews then wait 1-2 minutes to see how it feels going down I've really learnt how eat with my new stomach and in having less and less problems.

That's an awesome idea! I'll have to give it a try--I keep over-guessing how much is the correct amount and then I feel lousy (or worse-it comes back up.)

  4. Your new sleeve is going to be extremely swollen right after surgery. What you are feeling is probably the Fluid running into what is currently a very tiny hole, and it's probably not all fitting quite yet. As the swelling goes down, you have a little more room for food and Fluid.< /p>

Eating and drinking everything feels different to me. Big time different. Probably will never feel quite the same. Remember, the stomach itself doesn't have pain receptors, so you won't necessarily "feel" the swelling as you might if you had that type of operation on your hand or something.
