  1. Okay, just watched a video of a woman who originally started out at 296 and went down to 123. Her skin around her thighs and knees was horrible. Just curious if this is common. I know I'm gonna have skin issues. I'm 50 and been overweight for 25 years. So, unfortunately, I know it's coming. But, I want to know what YOUR story is with the skin and what you did to prevent it and if you actually did prevent it somewhat?
  2. Another thing you could do is call your insurance company and tell them that you suspect he is just running up bills. They can step in and say that's enough.
  3. Please keep us up to date as often as you can. I am having surgery on the 21st.
  4. Yes. Not till next Monday. But, I think I will try to continue, just not quite as strict this week.
  5. Well, just got call from my doctor's office. There was a problem with my scheduling. I've been bumped to the 21st.
  6. Oh, I bet. I get to eat meat and green veg tonite. Can't wait. 2 more days for you.
  7. So, is everyone's surgery date the 14th.
  8. Will try the green tea. Thanks.
  9. I didn't have to do Optifast. I was allowed one egg and 1 piece of fruit for breakfast. But, I'm used to full breakfast. Have to have a shake for lunch.
  10. I want the surgery ticket, yet, when I go to create new ticker, it only gives me the option of a BMI ticker. Can anyone tell me how to get that?
  11. Walking into my healing brought tears to my eyes. So very true.
  12. Just started pre-op diet today and already starving. ............ugh.
  13. I start tomorrow. Although, mine isn't TOTALLY liquid, it's still very restrictive.
  14. I came to this decision scared to death. Now, I am confident that I'm doing the right thing and so excited for my surgery to come. I know what you mean by being too tired to walk or put on clothes or really just to even move. You can do it and I'm sure you will be so glad when you do.
  15. OCTOBER 14!!!! YAY. Is there anything I need to do or have a handy to help me through the first couple of weeks after surgery?
  16. Wow. I guess every policy is different. I guess it depends on your company. I only had to have one nut and one psych, sleep study and ekg.
  17. Yeah, I guess it really wasn't that long considering my insurance didn't require a six month wait like some do. I started the whole process on Aug 16. So it's just been over a month to go through the whole pre-op process. Now to just get my surgery date which they should call me today or tomorrow.
  18. I WAS APPROVED! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Wow. My has 30 days to decide and believe me, they are going to take the full 30 days. Frustrating
  20. How long did it take for approval once submitted?
  21. Does anyone out there have BCBS of Illinois?
  22. I told my boss and coworkers before I told my family and I had the biggest cheerleaders. I would like to add that my boss is male and all of my coworkers are also male. But, they have been so supportive through the whole preparing process. I guess I'm lucky.
