Five months post op - huge stall

I am four months post op. Down 60 lbs and have also encountered a stall. I am going back to a semi liquid food plan for a few days to see if I can get past this phase. Fingers crossed it works.
  2. I'm in the San Fernando Valley. My doctor has monthly support groups for his patients.
  3. When I started I wS in a 26/28. 3 months later and 60 lbs, I'm now only in a 22/24. You are not alone.
  4. I'm three months post op and have also found that I can eat more now than in the beginning and have feelings of hunger ( or what I think is hunger).

    fear of failing

My first few weeks I was definitely afraid that I would be the only person in history not to loose weight from the sleeve. After a few weeks I started to set in and feel good. Now that I'm three months out and am able to eat a little more, that fear has returned that I'll go backwards and not loose any more or gain it back. I think their will always be a part of me that will be afraid. A lifetime of struggle doesn't go away quickly. To bad they can't surgically remove the parts of the brain.

    Any Regrets?

No regrets what so ever. Is it easy all the time... Honestly no. But I'm off my diabetic medicines. Down to four meds for my heart and down 53 lbs. the days of struggle are only moments in what is the rest of a long happy life.

    hello

Congratulations on your success. I'm just three months out and down 53. I look forward to when I can talk about being 11 months out and looking as good as you do.

    Bloated stomach!

I'm about 10 weeks out and I also have started to have more of a bloated stomach and find I can't eat as much from a few weeks ago.
  10. They tell us in our classes that we need to be doing this for us and that we shouldn't compare ourselves to others as we are all different. Then they tell someone they aren't loosing enough? I don't think so. We have enough stress of the real world telling us we aren't good enough because of our body size. We don't need the professionals doing the same thing.
  11. Walk. Distract myself. Read peoples posts here. Play a lot of games on line. And binge watch tv.

    Does anybody eat bread?

I'm 10 weeks out and have had bread. I find lately though I can't eat bread or pastas. I'm starting to cut them out.
  13. I was sleeved January 14th and am now down 48lbs. I've been doing good but this last week or so I am starting to have a harder time. I thought it would be harder in the Beginning rather than 2 1/2 months out.
  14. I've also been having issues. My doctors office says to try Benefiber and that as I eat more and am able to add more fiber it will get better. In the meantime I'm taking Ducoclox and that's helping a bit.

    Hungry?

I'm almost 10 weeks out and in the first few weeks when I was on liquids I always felt hungry. When I started more solid foods it started to get better. Now I struggle as I find I can tolerate more food than I did at first. My doctors office says this is normal.
