Thank you for your encouragement. Had a full Bypass on the 10th of January. Not easy at all. But I'm on the road to recovery and have lost 13lbs in 6 days.

    January surgeries?!

Im having a sleeve to MGB revision on January 10th. A little nervous. Mostly ashamed about regaining most of my weight despite eating so much less than before. Hoping this surgery is the right tool for permanent WL. Accept any post op advice, especially about maintaining long term.

  6. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing. Great information that I wish I had four months ago. I only have 2 months left on the dramaitc weight loss curve so I need to step up my excercise from 3 to 5 days a week. I was slacking because I thought the restrictive eating was enought. WOW!! I wonder if anhyone has the weight loss curve???

    NSV shout outs

    1. I had to take $100 out of the budget last week and go to ROSS and buy new dresses, nothing fits anymore. 2. The clerk at my local grocery store stopped and asked me how much weight I've lost. 3. I feel amazing!!! LOVE NSV shout outs. Thank you!

I Want To See Before & After Pics!

This is my 90 day pic (11/12/13). -34lbs since 8/12/2013. Very happy and excited with the new body.
  12. I haven't lost any hair, I have LOTS of hair. As for nutrition support, I'm getting most of it from other sleevers. Found some pretty cool tips like gerber cheetos, but really I'm eating pretty normal, just a fraction of a serving which is fine by me. I'm not really ever hungry so I have to make sure I eat regularly. I feel 100% normal, no fatiuge. I work out regularlly and WORK 12-14 hour days on most days. I live in Atlanta. Its the best decision I've ever made.
  13. I started at 195, I'm 5' 5", tried everything to lose with no success. I love love love to excercise and all that did was maintain my weight for years. My decision to do the gastric sleeve was a last measure. I thought about it for years and thought it was a cop out until I saw a video testimonial from another sleever and she convinced me that this wasn't an easy route, but a viable option for better health. I have to loose 60-70lbs to achieve a healthy weight for my frame. I was sleeved in Colombia on 8/21/13 by a wonderful team of surgeons with over 3000 sleeves under their belt (Dr. Gongora and Dr. Velez). The cost including airfare for my mother and I was only $7000. They accepted plastic for all but $2000 of the fees. That was perfect for me. To date I've lost 33lbs. I'm excercising like crazy now, kettle bells, yoga and running. I feel great, look great and I'm RARELY hungry. HEAD hunger is the worst symptom, and like last night when I FINALLY gave into my month's long craving for a slice of pizza....I regretted it and will not likely eat pizza again. This is the BEST decision of my life. I highly recommend it for anyone stuck in the fight. Good luck.

    Hola, quien soy yo?

Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

My gym has a run club that is participating in a 5k on Nov. 5th. My goal is to run it then. Congrats on your success. I can't wait to me be where you are.

Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

I've done the C25K pre-op and started again now post op. I've always loved to run, but pre-op the weight wouldnt come off which demotivated me. Now that the pounds are melting off, running is easier and I don't have the ankle pain that I ad before. I'm looking forward to running my first race and making running a part of my life daily. I'm 6 weeks post op right now and feeling great with the excersise.

    August Sleevers

Good morning. Its day 8 for me and I started my full liquid diet today with a oatmeal protein shake. It was amazing to have something other than broth or protein wáter. Loved the feeling of the fuller liquid. I've been very weak the last few days and stayed in bed to conserve energy. I'm in Colombia with my mom and aunts doting over me, so I have to take advantage of the rest because come Thursday I'll be stateside and back in the grind with kids and a business to run. This morning though, I woke up determined to take a long walk and I walked about 30 min with my mom to the store and back. It was slow, I had some pain in the same spot I'm dealing with but I'm glad I got out. I'm down about 12lbs from surgery weight. My followup appt is tomorrow and then I can go home on wednesday. Glad to see all of your comments and updates.

    August Sleevers

Hello August Sleevers. I was sleeved on 8/12, officially 10lbs down since surgery. Not bad for 5 days out. I've been off pain meds since day 2 but had to take some children's tylenol today because I have a cough that's really beating down on one of my incision points. I'm also getting weaker, but its because I need to step up my Protein intake. I still have a little gas in my chest but I'm trying to walk around and stay active to help with that. No hunger yet. My biggest obstacle has been throat pain from the breathing tube that left me speachless for two days and makes swallowing painful and the mild cough. I look forward to all of your checkins and advice. Andrea
