  1. I was lactose intolerant before getting sleeved, I'm now 11 days out and tried a bite of my son's Ice cream. Worst idea ever! I'm now so nauseous, dizzy and hot. I don't think I ever want ice cream or dairy again! Great learning experience I suppose.
  2. Just realized that this is September 2012
  3. I'm 6 days out and I know how you feel. I just have to have my fluids with me all the time and sip all the time. Yesterday was the closest I've gotten to getting all my protein in. Hang in there, rest up and walk walk walk, plus those fluids.
  4. I'm only 5 days out but if you asked me the first few days I'd say no way but now I'd say yes!
  5. Today was my first day of full liquids, I've had applesauce. It hurts if I take too many sips and I get air stuck a lot, or at least that's what it feels like. The pain has been a huge battle for me, but today was finally my turning point. I feel like I've just done way too many sit ups. Ice is my friend on 2 of my 5 incisions. I'm just glad that I'm starting to feel human again.
  6. How are you doing?
  7. I'm a million times better today! Last night I was regretting what I did to my body and tonight I'm just really sore and so glad I took the step!
  8. I'm 3 days out and I'm wondering if I will ever be able to take me meds again. I'm bipolar and I have to take a bunch, but since I can't swallow much, I can't take them normally. I really hope it doesn't mess me up too much.
  9. That's exactly how mine look. The surgeon told me it was very normal.
  10. The dr got me stronger meds. Ice on the incisions helps a bunch too. It only gets better from here.
  11. Yes I'm taking my meds. My incision sites kill.
  12. I had my surgery yesterday anti now back home but I'm in so much more pain. It hurts to move, all I can do is lay down, but instill is so painful.
  13. I was questioning my ability for a bit too but I'm about to go into the OR and I know now I 100% made the right choice for me. Good luck tomorrow!
  14. Day 4 was the worst, it got so much better each day! Hang in there it almost done. I'm getting sleeves today and I'm definitely excited for a few days away from those shakes lol.
  15. NW Weightloss Surgery Center, my dr is amazing he also did my friend's Lapband a few years back.
  16. Good luck tomorrow LMarie!!!
  17. I can't believe I get sleeved tomorrow, I'm so excited! It was a very short process for me since I'm self-pay, but if felt like forever, especially this past week on my pre-op liquid diet. I hope I'm not up all night. I'm going to NWWLS in Washington, anyone else?
  18. My dad is all for it since he has seen me and all my weight struggles throughout my life. My husband however thinks its just taking the easy way out. He will support me but insists I can do it on my own. He's had a weight issue part of his life but if he watches what he eats and exercises, it comes off. He will never get it. Last night he told me he's afraid that he won't find me attractive anymore because he may look at me as weak for getting the surgery. Well guess what honey, it's not about you, it's about me! I know I need it to take control of my health.
  19. That's one of the reasons I knit.
  20. It all depends oh your bmi, your surgeon, stuff like that. The one week one is to shrink your liver but some surgeons want patients to lose more.
  21. My surgeon mentioned that if I were a smoker he would not recommend the sleeve. I guess you could be more probe to a leak.
  22. I'm on day 4 of the liquid pre op diet, my body is hating me right now. This is by far the worse day of the liquid diet. But I have lost 10 pounds already. My surgery is on Tuesday and I'm so excited!
  23. I have a fitbit one and I clip it on my bra. I love it!
  24. I start my pre op liquid diet on Monday and then my surgery is sept 3rd. The process went super fast for me, but I'm self-pay.
