1. Depending on what kind of work you do, don't push your self to hard to do back to work. I only took 12 days off and went back and was dehydrated and in terrible pain by the end of the work week. I am a nurse at a busy clinic. And I found out after going back to work that your not suppose to take NSAIDS after this type of surgery (risk of ulcers) so there is really nothing you can take for pain while working except Tylenol and that does nothing for me. That's my two cents worth. I don't regret the surgery one bit. Good luck on your journey.
2. What have I done? I have read many articles about the emotional part of WLS but to feel it is so much worse. Do not want to get out of bed, eat, or drink. I need out of this funk. My surgery was 8/22. Any suggestions?
3. I put Crystal light with them and it kinda takes the protein after taste away. That's the only way I can drink them.
4. I had my surgery 8/22 and I am still having a lot of pain anybody else having this problem?
5. I feel your pain, I was also on the 22nd and have not had a good day yet. Having a hard time getting water in let alone protein. I can't stand up straight and my belly really hurts. Hoping to turn a corner very soon.
6. This is what it looks like now.
7. I think that's just bruising. But they feel lumpy.
8. I hurt so bad. Pain meds just don't seem to work. Any suggestions?
9. What pain meds did everyone take after surgery? They gave me liquid Lortab and I just can't take it because it makes me nauseated. Surgery was on Thursday any suggestions would help, thanks.
10. Surgery day for me today. My surgery is not till noon so I have a few hours to freak myself out. Just really worried about the pain afterwards because I am a wimp. Say a prayer for me.

13. Glad things are going well for you girls, I hope I am saying that 5 days post op. August 22 is surgery day for me. Getting excited.
14. I am on the 22nd. Day 5 of Optifast diet and really not hungry. Think I am down 10+ pounds, my scale decided to die in the middle of all this. Maybe it is a sign that the scale is not going to be my enemy anymore. Good luck to everyone.
15. I am also Aug 22 just finishing up day 3 of optifast diet, had a major headache today. Not really feeling hungry. I have my eye on the prize...wearing a swimsuit next summer. I plan on keeping in touch throughout my surgery and recovery.
