Puree Suggestions
OMG!!! These sound wonderful! I'm 3 weeks out and have been dying for an answer to change from soups and protein shakes (ESP since I'm having such a hard time with protein). And each of these, I LOVE! Thank you SO much for the inspirations! I have also been struggling with queasiness! Does anyone else experience this? I didn't have it after my stay in the hospital, but I feel like I'm super sensitive to everything! I don't even WANT to eat because of it. Hopefully these ideas will help. Lastly, while I don't have a processor, I wonder if my blender will work temporarily...

Which one do you have? I have the 3 mile from Leslie, but I am only 6 days post-op and have opted for 30-45 mins of walking daily. Guess I should give her a try!!! Congrats on your success!- Sleeve in August

thank you!! that def makes me feel better. I know I should get a sleep apnea test but all these appointments are killing me financially and that test isn't cheap. if I get denied then I will do it, but im gonna see what happens first without it. my kids are so supportive and happy for me, they are worried about me changing but I said it will be a change for the better, I will be happier! I am so excited for this month to be over. Im hoping it doesn't take uhc long to let me know, I want the surgery this year!!! lol And it can def happen this year! I know what you mean about dr appts. I go in Monday and this week, I had to re-lab, x-ray, ekg! Glad when Sunday eve is here! LOL. Best of luck- ITS GETTING CLOSER!
I too have UHC (Hoping that means United Healthcare :-)), but was approved. I started this journey late last year with classes and finally found a surgeon who accepted my insurance. Everyone has been great. While my labs reflected hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol, I don't have official diagnoses of either. Best of luck to you. I'm sure all will be fine. Just do your research and make sure you fight every step. Shouldn't be too strenuous if your docs are in your corner. They have a great way of making your paperwork look good!- Sleeve in August
MrsRaychJ, I enjoyed reading your blog very much and commend you on your journey. One of my best friends took me to a restaurant the day before WE began my pre-op dieting! WOW! Thank you so much for sharing! Yes, healing prayers in the atmosphere! I am curious to see how things go post surgery. How was your experience in Mexico? After all the misconceptions we have in the US, I am glad to know that it is just that sometimes...misconceptions.- Pre-op Diet
I start Monday! Hang in there. As a "kick-off", I had a protein shake for lunch. Yes, YUK! LOL. We can do this! - Lost 65 in 8 weeks!
