Weights at my highest and that journey to uncover me
  2. Thank god for all if you on this site. It really has helped me and my bouts of freaking out . I too was worrying about varying of intakes. Hydration is my number one goal now. Thanks all
  3. Game girl.. Thanks for the laugh ( even though being itchy isn't funny) the visual of scratching like a monkey is exactly what I was doing after leaving the hospital. My issue was the pain meds.
  4. Grouper is a fabulous non fishy fish
  5. Sept third was mine. Getting stronger everyday. Nausea the day after surgery but that was due to extra anesthesia needed. I'm of course trying to figure out the hard way about how slow I need to take in food.. Holy crampage bat girl! Couldn't stomach the same whey protein I could pre op so I took folks recommendation to try protein premier shakes... Yay they are just fine and affordable. What is freaking me out is the amount of calories I am taking in right now . Four hundred max. I assume this will get better the farther away from surgery I get.... Yes? I'm worrying about my energy level when I head back into the classroom ...
  6. I'm four days post op. my problem was constipation but getting a handle on that. Doc said I did not have to crush meds thank god. I had one nurse do it and all I did was throw up. Nice for my incisions. I do the gummi vitamins just fine. Going to start stepping up on protein . My girlfriend found a great frozen yogurt bar which I can tolerate right now. Six grams of protein better than nothing. Baby steps . Going after cream of wheat tomorrow . As far as sleeping I actually put a pillow under my stomach and lay that way. Hurts like hell for a second but then calms down. I'm a stomach sleeper. Need the option.... You will all do fine. I too check the weight often. Hitting a stall is normal for us all in our diet histories. It passes and we continue. Peace to all of us
  7. Thanks so much. Going to go and get some things to practice with the bullet tomorrow . It will help take my mind off the next day surgery. Less than 48 hours now! Whew.
  8. My surgery is sept third. Sort of teary today not sure why. Maybe it's 13 days of liquid diet! Haha I guess I'm a little worried , but am excited as well. I have actually done pretty well on the liquids but have a question for everyone. Does anyone use that Nutibullet processor ? I'm trying to think of anything I can to aid me after surgery.. Thanks in advance
  9. Thanks for the posts. I cut back two weeks before I started pre op diet. Started pre op and am in to the fifth day. Not really horrible . No headaches. Just bored now with the same old tastes! I will get through it. Surgery sept 3. Waiting for approval from insurance. Doc did not require weight loss but I have lost . Any sept third folks? I too need surgery buddies.
  10. Surgery scheduled sept 3. Doc sent things to insurance assume all will be approved. Started pre op diet today. Hit a wall about 6:00. Should drink another shake but can't get another one down. Full. Will try for five meals tomorrow .'only got four down today. Geez. Didn't realize there was a LGBT site yay
  11. I just read your story . It didn't dawn on me that I wouldn't be able to ride my bike for awhile. Well yes a few weeks... Hhmmmm. I guess I better talk to the doc. Dern it! Lol
  12. I am scheduled for sept 3rd. So excited. Been changing my diet for the past two weeks so pre op diet didn't shock my system so drastically . I started eating slowly and stopped drinking beverages during meals. I have to say not drinking water or vitamin water zero was harder than I expected. Thank god I stopped drinking pop a year ago. I am officially suppose to start preop on tues but have just decided to start a day early for ease of my routine for work. I've already lost seven pounds pre- pre op. it's been great to hear everyone's experiences. Good luck all
