  1. I had surgery on the 19th. My doc had me on soft foods on day 3. I am only eating 1/4c at each meal. I don't seem to have trouble with anything and I can't tell if i'm full or not but I stop because I don't want to throw up. I went out to eat with a friend today for the first time, I had blackened Talapia, and mashed clauflower. I even had a very sm bite of bread. It went down great. I also have felf like maybe it didn't work because I can eat and drink everything I have tried so far!!!
  2. I had surgery on Aug 19th and just cancelled a cruise on Oct. 24th Not because I don't think I will be feeling good but because I won't be able to drink. The friends we were going with are big party people and I just thought being around a bunch of drinking wasn't going to be good for me.

  11. good for you, the first 3 days are the hardest. i cut caffine cold turkey and had terrible headaches, i added half of a cup of coffee back for a couple days and when i quit again, no headache... also i didn't sleep well the first week, so hungry at bed time. i found a ts of peanut butter and a sip of skim milk helped me alot. now it's all liquids and only clear liquids tomorrow.. surgery monday morning!!
  12. I have been on liquids for 12 days!!! ugh... It does get alittle easier after the first few days. I have added an egg to boiling chix broth when I was about to give in and eat. I also have 1 ts of peanut butter and a sip of skim milk at bed time. I know that might be cheating but some doc's only have their patients on liquid diet 1 day before surgery!! I haven't had anything extra in two days now and clear liquids only tomorrow cause my surgery is mon. morning.. I am happy with what I have done, just do your best!!!
