I was sleeved on 9/16/13. I have had back pain too but what has helped is a small round heating pad the heat has made a whirl of difference. I also put the heating pad on my incisions on my stomach. I have had gas but Gas-X melt strips have worked. I had brought broth from the Japanese place ...broth only that was great. Sugar -free Popsicles have been a savior--banana flavor Walmat 1.99 and then I bought other flavors-pineapple etc. I find it gets easier everyday---meaning pain, recovering from major surgery.. Moving and walking is crucial.

Thanks hopefully someone had a similar experience and will share it with us. I am afraid of a bowel blockage.

I have had no bowel movement since surgery on 9/16/13. I am wondering myself ...what is going on!

I was sleeved on Monday, 9/16/13 and not had a bowel movement. Don't mean to be gross but is this normal?

I too understand what you are feeling, my surgery is tomorrow September 16th and I am feeling all sorts of ways. I have a sense of urgency to make sure everything is in order.... my house, family, etc. My emotions are all over the place. So please pray for me and I will pray for you! Everyone thanks for your posts on this topics they really help.

Congrats! I have surgery on Monday 9/16/13 and I am so scared but I know this long overdue and I know I will feel better. I also know that this surgery will change my life for the better. I feel we have all make the best decision for a more healthier enjoyable life.

Congrats...I agree no one understands your needs better than you. I too am waiting for approval. I am hoping to have surgery in September.

I am in the process of waiting on approval for the sleeve surgery. I am also going on a family cruise October 25th to the Bahamas. I have been told I can have the sleeve surgery in September most likely middle of September. I will be post op surgery 5 or 6 week by the time I go on my cruise. Or should I wait till after the cruise. My question is should I have surgery before or after the cruise? I will be on soft foods during the cruise.
