  1. I haven't sleeved yet, but I know the things I would appreciate is:

    1) able to walk, climb stairs and dance without feeling light headed/dizzy, chest pains and breathing hard.

    2) more energy at home and work

    3) able to paint my toe nails on my own without feeling like I am breaking my legs.

    4) eating healthier

    5) crossing my legs

    6) clothes fitting

That is all that comes to mind now, but I know after surgery and a couple of months other things I don't realize now will become apparent to me.

    Looking forward to being sleeved!

  2. Glad U feel good...for some reason when when u start to excel & be happy about yourself...others envy that! Because i'm waiting to be approved by insurance all paper work got turn in last Thursday & i have friends telling me...why would u let someone cut on u...why would u get that done....i hear folks getting sick after that...u dont need that...i can already feel the negative talk & I haven't got approved yet:(. But stand firm & hold your head high- U look great.

Funny how I had pretty much the same response from friends and even my husband. I guess I will find out soon enough if they will remain my friends after my surgery. As for my husband, I think he is more nervous I am going to look like my sister who had the gastric bypass from 400 lbs to 140 lbs and she does not look well at all. A lot of sagging skin. So for him, I think he is scared I will look like that or so I hope that is his concern. Time will tell.

You look FABULOUS and seeing your pics is so inspirational. Congrats on your success!!!

Ppl mostly feel like they look sick because your not use to seeing yourself that small but my advice is get down at least 10 pound under what you really wanna be .. I decide to let my sleeve lead me

Now THAT is how I would like to look like! You look GREAT!

  4. My sister who had the gastric bypass was about 400 lbs and now she is below 140. She looks sick, weak. Plus she has a tune of sagging skin. She and I were at the same height, 5'9. I don't want to look like that, but at the same time I am not 400 lbs. At my heaviest I was 290 and was just weighed in on Tues with my NUT at 278.

I know I shrank because my daughter who is 5'7 was looking taller to me. We both thought she got taller, but in fact I was the one that shrunk which surprised me. Took my height again at home and I am still 5'8. Wonder too if I will go back to 5'9 once the weight drops. I know my shoe size changes when I drop weight. Weird how that works....

  5. So excited! And it is going so darn fast! Started my journey in May 2013 and now we are in November. WOW! Where did the time go???? My surgery is schedule in December.

Had my 4th visit to my NUT yesterday and I lost a pound. Could have lost more, but going through some personal stuff which shouldn't be an excuse. Something I need to learn moving forward not to stop me from doing ME!

The closer my surgery date grows the more excited and nervous I am getting. Just so ready to get it done and be a healthier me. :)
