1. I've told my husband, father and friends. I've gotten reactions from happiness for me to fear and warnings to think about it a lot because it's dangerous and they know someone who had the surgery and had complications, etc etc. I guess they don't realize that I have been thinking about this for over 10 years now.

None of the people that I have told are majorly overweight like me so they don't understand my decision. You would think friends and family and people who love you would want you to be healthier. I don't understand the stigma attached to it.

Yes, people who are not overweight and have never has weight issues just don't understand. That's why I didn't tell my family...none of them have ever been overweight. Plus I didn't want to hear " why don't you just do WW again. You lost a lot of weight on that program."

  2. You're doing good Gettingsexyback! Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I'll do my best to help you along in your journey. :)

I'm a creature of habit and my meals typically look like this:

    B: Premier Protein shake

L: Egg drop Soup with a scoop of unjury Protein Powder

D: 2 ounces of salmon or tilapia, 2 tablespoons of green veggies ( I'm never able to finish all of it)

snack - Ostrim Jerky or more egg drop Soup

I'm getting about 60 ounces of Water a day at this point but I'm trying to increase that amount. My bariatrician is happy with the amount of Water I'm getting at 2 months post op.

  3.
You look great!

Sorry but when I read your screen name the first thing that came into my mind was..." I got her saved in my phone under Big Booty." LOL I hope you get that reference. ;) Hope that doesn't offend you.

Lol!! No that's not a problem!! I'm just glad it did not fall off with the weight loss!! It's still very big! Lol

That's good to hear! I'm hoping I retain my assets as well!! :D

I was a major volume eater before so this has and is a major "head" adjustment. I incredibly excited about my weight loss so far, it just scares me that it'll stop or that I will regain once my body adjusts to my sleeve.

    My goal is 140.

Congratulations on your weight loss Shellvsg! I totally understand the fear of a regain...I think many may have this fear from years of dieting and failing. You'll reach your goal before you know it AND keep it off!

  5. Same as Blondiee, my program used the starting weight for submission. Now that I am out of the liquid diet and post-op, my Nutritionist advised me to hold the Protein shakes to one a day and try to get the rest of my Protein from real food. Once you consume your protein first at each meal, there is little, if no room left for anything else. Fair warning........When you consume Protein Shakes and are eating less Fiber from fruits and veggies, take preventative measures against Constipation.< /p>

    Good luck with your program.

Indeed!!! I have been using MoM and Colace for the constipation. I'm looking into trying a Pro-biotic as well.

Edited to add- I HATE MoM but when you need relief...you'll do what's necessary.

    Total weight loss --47 lbs

Tuesday I get to eat anything except for steak and raw veggies! Yeahhhhh

Went from size 20 to 16.

When I first had the surgery I wasn't sure I would make it through the first 6 weeks. Sick of Protein shakes and soft foods. 47 lbs later the joy if wearing clothes that are too big is unbelievable. I am so glad I made the decision. I really wish I did it a long time ago.

My goal us to get down to 135lbs. I can start exercising next week which should help a lot!

That is awesome Odessallen!!! I'm still doing a Protein shake in the morning. I think having a variety of Protein Shakes helps so I won't get bored...cookies and cream one day and vanilla cheesecake the next! ;)

I haven't really been interested in eating which is a HUGE plus! I did have some grilled salmon this week that was heavenly!!! Basically just sticking to Soups (egg drop has been my fave) with a scoop on unflavored powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein powder and lean Protein. I was a volume eater before surgery and only being able to have 5-8 bites is good but, I no longer look forward to eating. I know that's a good thing. :D:angry::mellow::D

  7. Sleeved 12/13/13.

    HW: 365.6

    SW: 331

    CW: 299.2

I have lost allot but I seem to have been stuck for the last two weeks. And I agree with you on the other threads. I can't keep up with that much activity.

Good job! My scale was stuck for a couple of weeks as well but I just kept to the program. You/we know that the weight will come off and the body is just doing some readjusting. :)
