  2. Hi all' date='

I got my sleeve on July 25. I'm new to this forum - just heard about it from an old friend. My husband got his sleeve in 2012 and has lost 200 pounds. Is anyone else struggling with food? I know I'm not getting 64 ounces of Fluid. God knows I try but I don't seem to have room! Food... well, food is such a struggle. Just about everything makes me so sick. Fortunately, I haven't vomited (my post op nurse has me terrified of vomiting), but I am so sick of the constant diarrhea. The thickest thing I've been able to eat is cottage cheese. I used to love cottage cheese. I'm so over it now. I know that it will be worth it. I'm already down 46 pounds, but my husband never had this much trouble. I guess I just want to know that I'm not alone in this. Nobody really knows what it's like unless they've been through it. Sorry for the long post - I think I'm just so happy to have found a place to talk to people who understand.

    Cheers,

    Lulu[/quote']

hola! we are sleeve sisters......July 25th here!!!! I'm so sorry your ill... this to shall pass!!!!

  3. I woke up fine that morning' date=' but around 11am I had a pressure feeling in my upper abdomen (right under my ribs). I got up to walk around thinking it was gas and the pain spread all the way down my abdomen and to the sides as well. The only way to describe it is a really, really bad labor contraction that doesn't end. I had no fever or vomiting, just the pain. Abdominal pain and nausea are signs, so I would call the doctor If I were you. Better safe than sorry! They said if I had waited, it would have been much worse. Please let me know how you're doing. You'll be in my prayers!

I had my operation July 25..... and I'll guess ur trying to pass a stone... it mimics labor until u pass it.... I should know I did it was a lower pain in front and as pain increased the sharp pains went to the lower back.... like labor then I peed it out and a calm comes over ya!!!! crazy to think something as small as a half peppercorn can be so painful!!!! it comes along with the surgery

  4. I am currently eating about one ounce of food every 2 hrs. I don't EVER want to risk stretching my stomach out again so I'll probably eat like this forever. Who knows? But fear keeps me in check. I don't like getting bored with my food either' date=' so I try to eat a variety of things throughout the day. Like 1/4 of a veggie burger, 1 oz of cottage cheese, Protein Shake, 1 oz of sea food (imitation crab, or real crab or scallops, salmon, etc), yogurt, frozen yogurt, chocolate pudding, stuff like that. Little tiny portions that taste good about 5 or 6 times a day. Yummy![/quote']

jiggly puff... I was reading ur post and seen where u said "stretched out again" what does that mean and how do you know?

  5. I'm having that issue too. As we speak I'm eating tiny bites of refried Beans and with every swallow' date=' a gas bubble forms. My doc says it's very very normal for the first few months to experience this. It's very annoying.[/quote']

I hear ya about the gas and gas pressure.... I take chewable anti gas/simethicone chewable.... they are a life saver and only about 88 cents a bottle at Walmart for the generic brand Dr. choice... I have a bottle in my kitchen, my purse and by my chair

  6. Be careful with the whey shots. There are different types of Protein. You want to only take in whey isolate which is a cleaner version. The other version Whey Concentrate is not absorbed by the body so it is wasted. You can research the differences more on body building forums but my instructions from the Dr were very clear to stay with only the Isolate.

New Whey Liquid Protein is found at Walmart it's 42 protein grams and a protein isolate-6 tubes is about 15 bucks and individual tubes is about 3 bucks

  7. At my consultation appt my BMI was 40.05. Now I have to do a 6 month diet to get approved. My question is will I get denied if my BMI drops below 40 prior to surgery?? My coordinator assures me that the starting weight is the only one that matters but I'm not sold. I don't have any comorbidities and my insurance is BCBS.

missmee.... I'm so sorry ur having a hard time with all the hoop jumping and wait game... I love my sleeve and I'm about a month and I can't tell you the wonderful gift this is... I can help u if you wanna go another route there is no wait and no tests and the cost is only a few thousand... ill help you make this happen if you want?

  8. So I atr a sf popcicle about an hr ago and I now feel like I have gas ? Or like something is stuck In my throat when u no theres nothing there. Neone else wiyh this problem

it's pressure like built up gas... I bet u feel it in ur chest area....I noticed with cold things more in the beginning that it was easily present than other things... right away I used baby gas drops and I would stand a stretch a lot to relieve the pressure now I use the chewable gas pills and keep them in my purse for pressure issues related to food like sometimes when I chew to fast or swallow a to large of a piece of food....
