Congratulations! !!

I agree with those above... if you have to do 4 more weeks for your safety and to NOT have an open procedure then as much as it sucks I wouldn't even think twice. You will only regret it for 4 weeks

To you too... I know you're scared.. and you should be, this is major surgery and I applaud the people that treat it that way. You're gonna do great! -
While sitting in a cafe with a couple of friends discussing my progress, one of them, who is quite overweight hrrself, said something about how I gave up to take the easy way out. Ahh. But thanks to everyone here I was prepared for that. I didn't even skip a beat. I said something to the effect of, yeah.. we all do it eventually. .. like you with your glasses. She looked really confused and just stared at me. After a minute I said, well it's really no different. .. you couldn't see clearly so you took the easy way and got that surgery for your vision... I'm sure you could have seen just fine without it if you really tried. Well needless to say she got the point and we changed the subject!

For those of you who resisted temptation, good for you... I know it sucks but it is so totally worth it. I am two weeks post op today and I go back to work tomorrow. Two days ago I was terrified, then yesterday I woke up and it was like someone flipped a switch! I feel great and I can't wait to get back to my life... So, for me, 10 days liquid pre op 1-4=hell... 5-9 = feeling pretty good... day ten = torture then surgery... pain not so bad as long as you don't try to get up from a laying down position for the first 1-3 days. Days 1-5/7 really hard to get in enough...week two starts to get easier overall... you will actually feel a marked improvement hour by hour! About day 11-12 pain got worse again around small incision. . Day 13, hmmm I really feel better, day 14, wow I feel great! Anyway... not cheating and being a little miserable for a minute is a small price to pay for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Good luck to all... I did it so I know you all can too! -
I'm so glad to be here with all of us lazy people who choose to take the easy way out. Three cheers to the easy way!

It's interesting how differently I'm treated these days

I think we are so fortunate to have first hand experience on both sides. I remember a news special I watched years ago with , Tyra Banks, I think. .. first she dressed up in a fat suit to guage people's reations then she had some elaborate make up job to make her look old. She was "stunned" at how invisible she became! Coming from a super model that didn't have much affect on me. Towards the end of that special, the was an interview with a little old man, a war verteran. He was saying how in is hay day everyone payed attention to him and now people not only don't see him but are downright mean. He started to cry. That interview stuck with me for many years. I honestly don't know if I was guilty of that behavior before, but since, I've made a conscious effort to acknowledge people....all people. I know I'm a better person for watching that special. You just never know where inspiration will come from -

I've never been up in the 300's but I was heading in that direction. Congratulations for getting into the 200's or heading towards it. I think you're TWOnderful!

I'm proud of you. And when it's all over you'll be so much more proud of yourself for not giving up. Please keep us posted and I will visualize you sip, sip, sipping away.

Restriction on liquids

Thanks.. I was hoping the puree would be better and it is but just a little. As hard as it is I'm enjoying each stage knowing that I'm heading in the right direction. -
Btw.. I am only two weeks out so this was recent. If I had given up I would be sitting here today eating ice cream and stacy's chips! You know there is something wrong somewhere... a little detective work please Watson...

There has to be some mistake. I have the same ins but in ca. They deni me the first time too. I have faith that if you keep after it will happen.

I can't get over your tiny little waist! You look so happy... and pretty in blue

Ok, so how are you logging sex in mfp? I mean if you go at it for an hour are you putting undrr aerobics? Lol (embarrassed)

I'm in puree stage... but I'm screenshotting this page. Great ideas for the future!

Oh God, I am so sorry. I still wouldn't drop it. You have a letter from them with all of your info on it stating they would covrr it if... I would fight it.

Do NOT assume your Dr office fid everything right.. there was an error in faxing my documents that resulted in a delay. As a center of distinction they would not have had you go through all that if they weren't confident you would be approved. Keep calling both the ins and Dr until you figure out the missing piece. Try to be patient. .. your doing everything right and it will happen. Don't give up! !

Pretty sure I f***ed up the sleeve. No leak, but I might as well have never gotten it.

I think it's unfortunate that you can't let one night of ugliness go after sevrral days. I have. I am sincere. Continuing in this manner isn't helping anyone and certainly not this young man or youself. I still hate spellcheck... I went back ank fixed it. PEACE..
