I put Crystal light with them and it kinda takes the Protein after taste away. That's the only way I can drink them.

What pain meds did everyone take after surgery? They gave me liquid Lortab and I just can't take it because it makes me nauseated. Surgery was on Thursday any suggestions would help, thanks.

Surgery day for me today. My surgery is not till noon so I have a few hours to freak myself out. Just really worried about the pain afterwards because I am a wimp. Say a prayer for me.

I am also Aug 22 just finishing up day 3 of Optifast diet, had a major headache today. Not really feeling hungry. I have my eye on the prize...wearing a swimsuit next summer. I plan on keeping in touch throughout my surgery and recovery.

I start my pre-op diet on Monday and my surgery is the 22nd. We are about the same weight too, will have to stay in touch with our progress. Good luck and I hope to hear from ya.

What are the things you wish you knew before surgery that would have made after surgery easier?

Depending on what kind of work you do, don't push your self to hard to do back to work. I only took 12 days off and went back and was dehydrated and in terrible pain by the end of the work week. I am a nurse at a busy clinic. And I found out after going back to work that your not suppose to take NSAIDS after this type of surgery (risk of ulcers) so there is really nothing you can take for pain while working except Tylenol and that does nothing for me. That's my two cents worth. I don't regret the surgery one bit. Good luck on your journey.
