thanks, I appreciate that. I am doing great on my pre-op diet. Slim Fast high Protein chocolate is a life saver! I only eat a no carb meal at dinner. If I could do this forever, I wouldn't need surgery!

Hello all Type 2's! I have been trying to find any comments on how high BS effects healing. I know if I get a scratch, it takes a long time to heal. Is it going to be the same on the inside with my stomach? I am going to Tijuana for sleeve surgery on 8/23. My dr in TX said 10.2 A1c was too high, but dr in MX said it was OK. Should I stay on liquids extra long after surgery? any advice is appreciated.

Hello August Sleevers- I am new. I have my surgery scheduled with Dr Lopez in Tijuana on August 23rd. My sister is meeting me in San Diego to go with me. I start the pre-op diet on Thursday. This weekend has been all about having my favorite last meals, and a couple of margaritas to wash them down. I too am feeliong a bit like "what the heck am I even considering doing to myself?", but the airfare is paid and so is my deposit.
My reason for having surgery is my health; loosing weight is just a wonderful side effect. I want to be around for my future grandkids, and if I don't do this, I feel like i may not be.
any one in the same boat?
