Anyone else getting sleeved in August?

I'm 4 days post op and ice chips were the worst!! I didnt think i would get any liquids in fooling with the ice chips. Small sips of room temp water helped immensely. Best of luck to ya!

    Surgery August 20!

I got gas-x thin strips. They "melt" on your tongue sort of like those listerine breath strips.

    Surgery August 20!

If You do a search for August 19th, you will find two threads. I know there are some 20th people on one or both. Best of luck to you!
  5. Thank you for this thread because my surgery is MONDAY!! I found this site about three weeks ago and I have felt like I've been cramming for an exam with all this information. But this issue has been at the forefront of my mind. OP you must be psychic! I know you can't shower while in the hospital, but will it be ok to bring wipes of some sort (baby wipes, feminine wipes, or Kleenex wipes) to freshen up?

    August 19th

Tomorrow Im supposed to have only Clear liquids for the entire day. So I'm am going to savor today's Quest bar and salad like they are culinary masterpieces. On a good note, I've lost nearly 15 pounds while on the pre op diet--which negated all the weight I gained from all of my many "food funerals". Now off to the store to buy those gas x strips because gas pain doesn't sound like fun.

    Zumba-how long after surgery?

Any other Zumba enthusiasts post-sleeve out there? Zumba is first exercise I've done consistently and I've taken 3-5 classes per week for the past four years. My post-op down time will be my longest break EVER! So, how soon after surgery did you start back into your Zumba classes? I don't use weights in every class, but plan on using light wights (3 pounds TOTAL) whenever I resume.

    August 19th

So 19th and 20th gang are we nearly ready? Working at a frenzied pace to have stuff done before I take the next 3 weeks off-- so tired. I think I've adjusted to this pre-op pittance of a diet, don't know what I will do when it's time to go to all Clear liquids on Sunday. Probably whine to you guys :-) on some thread SOMEWHERE! Praying for safe travels to those going far away for your procedures as well.

    Zumba-how long after surgery?

  11. I'm preop still and loved it as an afternoon snack. I've wondered about if it was a sleeve friendly item. I certainly hope so

My husband is a chubby chaser.

Well now you know. There are PAWGs and whooties (white girls with a booty). I don't know who makes these things up lol

New Weight Loss Option Sewn into Tongue **NO WAY**

    You're probably right haha

Sticking to a pre opp diet

If you don't mid me asking, what does your diet consist of? Only shakes and veggies? Can you have unlimited anything? I know we all have different doctors and thus, different pre op diets. It hasn't been easy for ANYONE regardless :-) but I've tried my best to stay with it, even if it meant going to bed at 830 to beat the late night munchies.

I'm a August 19th'er with Dr. Wegner in Memphis, Tn!! Are my fellow future sleevers ready? I started packing my bag today just to be sure I don't forget anything important!!

New Weight Loss Option Sewn into Tongue **NO WAY**

Not about that life indeed lol. However I once had what resembled an acupuncture pin put through the top part of my ear because it supposedly curtailed hunger and caused weight loss (not my proudest moment). Shoot some of my family believe my upcoming sleeve procedure is the craziest thing they've heard of. So while I do not understand, I will refrain from judging.

    3.5 week before and after

What a pretty lady and your freckles are ADORABLE. So you lost 35 pounds since surgery or since the preop diet? I'm not firing on all cylinders today! In either case, your progress is awesome!

    Journey Videos

I have a youtube channel, and plan on doing so. The reason I decided to do so was because I haven't been open about it and only a handful of people know. I do believe that a good support system will help me as I am single. So youtube and VST provide me with the opportunity to talk it out (free therapy yay), have accountability, develop a support system of sorts, and inform others that have or are considering doing the same.

Cant get protien or fluid in!

So you weren't sensitive to either before the surgery? I can't imagine how difficult that must be.
  21. Dude! This is the best! Will save me from wasteful spending on culinary nastiness and hopefully introduce me to some tasty things I never would have tried otherwise.

    My fitness pal!

I don't know the name of it, but there is another thread of people looking for my fitness pal friends (or as I like to call them accountability partners). It is under food and nutrition. I'm still trying to figure out how my fitness pal with friends works, but need friends first lol.
