    Weak... What did I do?

I have to say I think that the drink and eat thing at the same time is BS. Look, I'm no medical professional but it really is about what you put in your mouth and how much. I didn't get hung up on the drinking and eating thing I got hung up on what and how much is going in and my exercise output. Just my thoughts. (Break) Follow the advise of your doctor....Yada ...Yada...
  2. Mine was a joke. Don't stress about it as you will walk out of it thinking, "I can't believe I got that worked up". Speaking from my experience only, I wished I could have written the check and walked out. He didn't care, I didn't care, he wasn't interested, I wasn't interested. I agree with the above. Just be honest but don't reveal too much and you will be fine. The 100 question questionnaire was a joke as well.
  3. There is something to be said for tough love. I have two examples that although weren't the best way for the individuals to handle stuck with me to this day and drive my decision making: I played soccer since the age of 5 and into college. Never a small girl, even at my fittest I was always heavy "big boned". One day while playing soccer, my dad went to my soccer game. (1st and only time in my entire life). He yelled to me, "Attack that ball like you attack a plate of food". While beyond mortified, that was the best game I ever played. Was there relationship damage from that incident? I don't know. That ship had already sailed, so to speak. I just reported to work at a new office. The political appointee asked for me to make sure that he had a briefing for a late afternoon meeting. While I wasn't the expert, I contacted them to make sure that they were prepared and that the briefing was received prior to the meeting. Long story short, the expert left for the day and didn't provide the briefing and the meeting was moved up in time. When I went into the bosses office and told him I didn't have the briefing he went off and said that I was supposed to "anticipate his needs and always have a back-up plan". I've never forgotten that and I never found myself unprepared in similar situations. I guess my point is that something the tough conversations are exactly what we need.
  4. Spot on. It's ine of the reasons I don't post that often.
  5. Maybe I'm just direct, but when did being candid with people become unsupportive or insensitive? You ask, I'm going to tell you how I feel and I may not agree with how or what you want me to say. When did that not become ok on this forum?

    I need help!

I'm not on the site very often so its rare that I post. I have to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about it and quite frankly I know you don't really care, however, I thought I would give some advice that may result in contributions. - Go Fund Me irks me as I can't verify where the money is actually going or being spent. - If you had said in your post you needed the money because you had life threatening co-morbidity issues I would have thought twice. - Details matter in this case; otherwise, what separates you from the other 100 posts a day that can't get surgery because they can't pay?

    Vision Boards

We had a work offsite and did vision boards. I'm not into kumbuya kinda stuff, especially at work; therefore, it doesn't / didn't work for me. However, doesn't mean you can't pin it up on the fridge (if its small enough) as a reminder.
  8. The day after I got home from surgery I did the same thing, started walking and I haven't stopped. I now run 5 miles a day. Stick with it, the weight will start coming off and it won't seem like your treading uphill.

    Almost there

Agree. I also made a pact with myself to stay away from soda and sugary coffee drinks. Add those to the list under carbs.

    Gallbladder Problems?

7 Months post surgery I had to have my gallbladder removed. Best and worst thing ever. The pain was horrible but now I definitely have to know where the bathroom is when I go somewhere. I swear having my gallbladder out was worse than my sleeve but I bounced back fairly quickly after both.
  11. When I made the decision to have surgery, that was it for me. I wasn't scared, I didn't cheat, I set goals, I was laser focused. It wasn't until I was at the hospital and the nurse had just given me the IV that I broke down. I couldn't believe that I had allowed myself to get this way that I had to have surgery to fix it. I promised that day no going back and I've maintained that laser focus. Find your moment.

    Blood thinners

Yes and things went great. I was put on Lovenox pre surgery, taken off of the Coumadin. Maintained the shots for a week post surgery and transitioned back to Coumadin.
  13. I'm starting Cross Fit tomorrow. Do I have to disclose that I've had the surgery?

did I just ruin my chances?

No, could be that she wants to gage your ability to workout post surgery so that she understands your commitment level. Such as the likelihood of you working out after you go through with the surgery. Don't get yourself worked up and read into it. I looked at the Psych eval as a block checker. At one point I think I asked the guy if I could just write him the check for the co-pay, allow him to bill my insurance company and he contemplated it.
  15. Our stats are similar and I'm amazed that you can get into a size 6! You go. I'm a size 10 loose. Everyone tells me not to lose anymore weight and I am happy with where I am and how I look but I can't get over the "overweight" status. I am obsessed with my medical chart not showing overweight.
