I was wondering if anyone has an idea for some good pre made protein shakes? I have my protein shakes for at home chosen, but I'd like to also have a stock of "grab-and-gos", ready for when I'm on the run, especially since I work nights and will be in college full time!! I live in a very small town and would prefer to buy in store vs online. I have a gnc and a Walmart, other then that its pretty limited. Thanks!

I do. Luckily I can have all my pre op testing here instead of more traveling. I know how to do ekgs! Too bad I couldn't do it myself at work. Lol. These are the final stages. I'm excited and so nervous.

I love this list and some of the responses make me so sad. I cannot imagine never being loved or kissed and i hope those of you on your journey find that one person that thrills you because its the best feeling ever. It also makes me more grateful for some of the things and people in my life I'm 27 and I've never *waxed and don't care too (ouch!!) *been comfortable in clothes *enjoyed my double chin *worn heels or high boots *bungee jumped *felt comfortable naked *worn a pencil skirt or a fitting dress But I hope to accomplish these things and more!! And actually am hoping by April (surg in September) to be slim enough to do a pinup shoot for my 5yr wedding anniversary as my husbands gift!

Had my pre op class today!! Now I just need to call and get my EKG/bloodwork set up and my medical clearance from my pcp!

I was told by the NUT to look into the powder PB because regular PB is too sticky so doesn't work well?

I am a floor aide, we hold up to 40 patients in a hospital. Not lifting is not an option. I explained to the dr my job, he said I will be fine in 2wk, 3wk max if I need it.

Mine isn't really my bra it's created from my belly. But regardless I don't want it anymore!! Lol

I've read some of the best, and the funniest threads.... But never seen anything about back fat!! I'm hoping not to lose all the weight I need and have boobs left on my back!! Do they go away with weight loss?

I have a large Walmart, is it normally in with the protein shakes and such

I just got a phone call that they changed my surgery date from Sept 16 to Sept 11. After seeing a god awful picture I was tagged in on Facebook this morning I was pretty thrilled. My only worry is I am part of a wedding party on Sept. 7th and the rehearsal dinner on Sept. 6th. I obviously cannot bail which is what I would normally do if I knew that there was a conflict. But I'm not sure what I do in this situation or how to make the best of it? No one except my husband will know about the pre op diet, not even the bride and groom. Have any of you experienced this kind of situation and what do you do!!

I hope to not have back fat afterwards or a saggy chin. Lol!!! I expect the belly and being able to tuck that in!!

I was switched to 9/11 in buffalo ny. Was 9/16 until today!! The nerves are really starting to twitch !

I think I'd be less nervous if people knew and understood. I am horrible at dodging the bullet but obviously cannot with being part of the wedding. We have a family reunion to go to less then a week after surgery and one a week and a half after surgery. I figured the don't feel good approach or dieting thing may be easier to pull off then. I asked my husband if I should tell my father in law and he feels the same as I, its really no ones business and my choice and time to be happy. The world is so full of hypocrites. That's also why I have really kept it to myself minus a few close family members and coworkers. I love all of your inputs!

Thanks!! My diet is a 10 day liver reduction diet, protein shakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, only liquids in between.

This is an awesome question. I think it's going to be hard for my 3yo to understand because she's very attached to her mommy. It even chokes me up thinking about being away from her. I think my 10 and 12 year old will have a well understanding and ask a lot of questions. Just not sure how to approach it and I know they'll have lots of questions!

Don't let anyone get you down. I have told only people that I'm close with. And very close family members. Shockingly the only person that shot me down was my best friend which is a big girl. She put me into tears. It really broke my heart. My husband isn't thrilled about it but was better once I said it was doctor recommended and pointed out all of the positives. I'm looking forward to the change and getting my life back. There finally comes that time when you are ready to put yourself first, and this is it!!

I did compare the nutritional facts on this to bariatric infusion. Which is what my surgeon recommended and it was about the exact same so I think it's safe?!

This is what I use also, it'll be interesting what others say. I think it tastes great and its decently priced. I also live in a small town and don't have lots of stores of with options. I'm pre-op
