    Thanks for the information, I myself am an easy stick. I work as a nurse and I am always looking for better ways to start an IV on a hard stick.

    I was told not to take the calcium with my multivitamin because it interferes with the iron absorption in the multivitamin. I was also told that I needed to keep up my vitamin regimen for the rest of my life, due to the low caloric intake. I keep getting amazed at how we are told so many different things.

    I have to take 2 calcium per day, 2 multi-vitamins, 1 b12, 1 b complex, and vitamin d everyday so I can make sure I get in enough nutrients. I would check with your doctor to see what you should be doing.

    To tsan4u, my doctor doesn't require me to be on a liquid diet prior to surgery, but will need to be on a full liquid diet for 3 weeks after surgery. It is interesting to see all the difference between the doctor's instructions. Good luck with your surgery!!!! Mine is on September 19th.
