Crackers?
I would wait till at least week 5-6ish before I ate crackers. Also, keep in mind they are slider food.

Pretty sure I f***ed up the sleeve. No leak, but I might as well have never gotten it.
Whoa bud, slow down a little bit. Maybe take this weekend to reevaluate why you got the sleeve and where you want to go with it. I am sure there is still plenty of inspiration for you if you just allow yourself to tap into it. Start slow and try to figure out a whole new food identity that you can align yourself with. This journey is not over for you and I don't think you messed up your sleeve at all. Failure defines success, so respect the process. Tomorrow is another day. You're just not on the same page right now with your sleeve and it happens to the best of us.

Pills?
I didnt take my first pill till 6 weeks out but I've read some responses on here where folks were taking them very early post op and there are other people who will tell you that their doctor told them not to take pills or capsules until months out. You will very rarely get a consistent answer here.

Pre Diet Touchy Subject
I heard whey Protein Powder causes bad gas. Something to do with the bacteria in your gut. It could be a lactose intolerance or check the Protein source, or both.

Looking for advice - PLEASE!
I had bad reflux before the surgery but nothing showed up on my Upper GI. I had HORRIBLE reflux after the surgery. I take Prilosec and a really good probiotic daily. Reflux gone. Not an issue.

Struggling to get 200 calories a day now :/
Oh P.S. this may be TMI but after about 3-4 days you will have the most productive, amazing BM's ever. I know that is an issue for some of us.

Struggling to get 200 calories a day now :/
I am 7 weeks as well. Try these two things... they made a WORLD of difference for me when it came to being able to eat comfortably. I am actually a little annoyed my surgeon didn't recommend anything like this. Prilosec daily and this probiotic is cheap and literally the best I've ever used. Combine the two in the morning before you eat and it will help. Probiotic: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005P0NYFI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 P.S. I am not getting paid if you click that link. lol Though I should, I recommend to everyone.

After healing, do you all consume ONLY caffeine-free Crystal Lite?
Caffine is not recommended at first but when you start to heal up you can have whatever kind of caffine you like. I drink a cup of Americano esspresso (sugar free) every morning on my way to work.

do not go to St marks Utah!
Call your insurance company and report a suspicion of fraud and explain the numbers on your statement compared to the numbers discussed with you. They will lead you in the right direction. If the insurance company suspects fraud they will red flag that hospital. Not sure what happens after that though.

No ice cream?
I waited until after week 6 to venture into a little bit of ice cream. And when I say "little bit" I mean about 3-4 small spoonfuls to curb a craving. You just had surgery last week. Just because it's a liquid doesn't mean its okay to consume at such an early stage. Lets hope that you didn't do any further internal damage.

Am I the only one that doesnt miss food/eating?
I feel the same way. The other day they had pizza at work and I had no desire for it at all.

Salad
I have friends who have been eating salad since 6 weeks. I am at 7 now and haven't tried it yet but I am venturing out this week to try some. I miss veggies.

Soft food stage. When you go out to dinner, what do you get?
I was eating brocolli cheese soup 2-3 weeks out at Jasons Deli. Shrimp, fish, chicken, anything you can chew up easily and swallow really.

Froyo?
Oh sorry, surgery on 10/23? I don't recommend it yet. Sugar slows down healing.

Maybe break the "mold" of 21 year olds and not drink? lol

Green Drinks-How Long Did You Wait?
You should have been able to drink green drinks since you we're cleared for full liquids. Day 3-4 after surgery.

Anyone Afraid of Telling Others about WLS?
At first I wanted to keep it a secret but in all honesty, it's almost next to impossible to keep it a secret from everyone. Especially if you eat with them, they will be like 'whats up?' because you eat so little. I realized shortly after having the surgery that I just needed to own it. And I did. I decided to make drastic changes in my life and you are too. Drastic changes in your life rarely ever come without a certain degree of casualties and those two obese girls who no longer talk to you are yours. I strive to live as transparent a life as I can. I don't like secrets, especially ones that could potentially save someones life down the line. I am very honest about this surgery to folks when I talk about it but it comes from a place of passion and respect for the journey than shame. People have been more supportive than I could have imagined, especially because they can see with their own two eyes that it's working.

NSV- I can run!
Amazing! I was on my walk today and I was able to sprint up 4 flights of stairs and I was only a little winded when I got to the top. 6 weeks ago that would have been almost impossible.

Here's a crazy question...
This is where my surgeon removed mine.
