  1. The funny thing is that since I was cleared for the puree diet, I have kept favorites from my 2 week liquid diet - V8 - yogurt - soups - applesauce - etc. being my go-to favorites along with Premier Protein shakes and Ice water cut with 50% filtered water (tap water in NJ is the pits)... I guess we find foods that we like and discard the losers (UNjury products w/undertaste).

Congratulations on Phase II; the secret of success is plenty of protein and water. It sounds like you have a solid grip on your puree diet. Hmmmm...Hummas, sounds interesting, I will have to try some.
  3. YAH HOO, CONGRATULATIONS! It is always inspiring to see hard work pay off big! Way to go!
  4. OH NO!!!! I have the same likes and this is bad news! Cottage cheese is now styrofoam - grapes are nahh - not tomatoes? My only hope is that my chocolate premier protein drinks are still OK. I don't dare ask about oatmeal or eggs and bananas. As for Ice Cream, I already wrote that one off my preferred list months ago. However; I totally agree with your saying that " I eat to live, and I am not living to eat!" Same here! Have a fantastic week and please post any new favorites that come along....

My surgery is also 3 nights away. It took a mini stroke last year, more meds than I care to list, and years of mirror shock for me to realize that eating myself to death was not the answer. Life doesn't give us too many do-overs; but, we can make Tuesday our Do-Over, and changing our lives for the better. Being "older", I can tell you that at 35, losing weight will dramatically change the rest of your life! Focusing intently on your efforts to lose weight using you sleeve "tool" will also help your emotional recovery. Not yet having children means you can cut any remaining strings, walk away, and never ever look back. Congratulations on Tuesday being the first day of the rest of your life!

WOW, a stress test to remove stress! I love it when a plan comes together
  8. Congratulations, my turn comes on Tuesday.
  9. Thanks for posting your day-4 post-op update. I plan on doing the 8oz./hr. shake routine and have Unjury chicken and WonderSlim chicken soups to balance out the shakes. I also have the Unjury unflavored to boost over the counter diet foods and supercharge sugar-free Jello. DietController software is my food/nutritional log that I use as my diet speedometer and keep track of what I am eating and managing my protein drinks. Thanks again and please keep posting updates because they help pre and post surgery bloggers. Have a great Labor Day but avoid the BBQ!
  10. Congratulations Patty, it sound like your first eating out adventure went exceptionally well in the face of serious temptation. By resisting in the face of such a banquet, you have also shown a strong commitment to stay the course with your diet. Good going! I only hope I will be as strong my first time eating out.
  11. OMG, this is more than I really need to know; but, LOL - when it's my turn on the porcelain throne at least I won't be surprised.. Thanks.....
