  1. i hope your appointment time is quick I have to wait two months before seeing the doctor. But then I know that I will have my surgery date.

Dorian thats great I switch surgeons because the first surgeon I met with was nice and I met with the nutrition but they never gave me any directions as to who I need to contact regarding my psy eval or anything else and they failed to return telephone calls. I am now with a state of excellence bariactric program and I had all of my required appointments schduled on my first meeting with them along with a binder which consist of about 400 pages of what to expect and everything I was very impress. There is a long waiting list to see the surgeon though but there program has been excellent so far. I also have a specialist who will follow and assist me 1 year after I have had my surgery.
  3. Thank you both you must be a good luck charm because I just reieve an email from my teat , when I go for my meeting I will have my surgical consultation, meet with the dietician, the anesialogist as well as get my surgery date.
  4. I just finished my last 6 month weight management with my doctor now I have to wait two months before seeing my surgeon for consultation . my appointment with him is 4 hours, did anyone else have to do this ?

  6. I have a wonderful support person that gives you support throughout the process and 1 year after your surgery her name is Sally Green . It has been very helpful . I believe all programs should offer this .
  7. I had to do 6 month weight management, EKG, lab work, exercise class, as well as psychological evaluation, as well as a 2 hour class regarding the surgery vitamins, measuring , and appropriate foods and reading material .Also I should mentioned that my surgeon program is one of excellence .
  8. Also I wish I had started early than August 2013 but I can honestly say these 6 months have flown past and I have learned a lot.
  9. My doctor was very supportive , how ever they were slow in probing all the documentations, I am glad that's tomorrow's my last visit is tomorrow but they are excited that I will be healthier and will Bo off all medications .
  10. Lol I already had diabetics 2 then I was diagnosis with high blood pressure and high cholesterol

  13. My 6 month weight in is Saturday 1/4/14 then I will have to wait until march to meet the surgeon, whew here wishing these days fly by.
  14. I have the same insurance and I am in Michigan my blue care network covers 100 % of my surgery but they require a 6 month supervised weight management with your primary doctor .

  17. Lady anna when I had my first appointment with the doctor we went over my Heath, nutrition, expectations and the procedure .

  19. I haven't started my pre opt diet yet but I began working out and stop drinking pop in August , I hope to loose twenty pounds before surgery
  20. That's a positive way to look at things , you will loose the weight just keep at it, it's your determination that will make you successful with this surgery as well as keep you posted .
  21. I wish you the best and hopefully you decide to have the surgery this time so that you can have a healthier life and get over your fears .
  22. I hope things get better for you, try and focus on the fact that your doing this for you so that you can be healthy and no one else . Remember we are hear for you and perhaps your family members are jealous that you are putting your needs first and not theirs .
  23. You have one bright son, it is normal to have these feelings, you know that you are making a choice to be healthy, i am sure you will be all right good look.
  24. I just bought this book on amazon for my kindle so that I can read it no matter where I am at without people asking me too many questions.
