  2. I have an extreme fear of dumping so I am following everything to a T. I've decided to put my scale away, if I am doing everything I am supposed to then the numbers on the scale are useless, the weight will come off but I need to stay positive, so no scale for me @ least until I can control the urge to step on it every five seconds lol
  3. Thank you for the encouragement it's so hard not to revert to that state of mind where you feel depressed and discouraged. I guess I was comparing myself to others I know, my friend lost 30lbs her first month, I guess I was just hoping. Glad I'm not alone though I did find the "slow losers thread"
  4. Okay so my first i got the surgery I lost 16 pounds I'm from 276 so 260. this week I have so far only lost a pound and I'm working out I'm getting all my protein I'm drinking my fluids I don't understand what's wrong and my negativity isn't helping because now all I can think is it's another diet it's not to work I put my body threw hell for nothing. I have heard of people stalling after the first month for about a week but never heard of people stalling at the second week I just have a feeling this journey is going to be even longer and harder for me then normal people

At 18 I got one on my lower back a cross with wings for my gramps that passed, 19 I got my daughter name with a small angel 20 I got the comedy tragedy masks as an angel n devil for my personality, got preg at 21 with twins so no tatts then 22 I got thier names under a cloud with two cherubs, then I waited and got two more when I was 24 a lily for my mom that says unconditional under it, it the second one the artist didn't have another appt so I asked her to do a bite mark with the words love bites which has a couple of meanings for me can't tell you how many people have freaked out about that and thought it was real teeth marks lol.

  11. I was jan 7 @ 9 30 am, I was all star patient, went walking for over an hour did everything with a smile..... Until it came to fluids, apparently my throat was too swollen from have a tube down durning surgery, and I was unable to keep fluids down. I was very discouraged and the nurses were pushing so hard for me to drink past the pain.... Then The vomiting started and I was anxious and a little scared, I refused to drink anything after the last time I got sick and went to bed early At eight feeling confused and beaten... Woke up this morning sore everywhere but am now able to get fluids down and am so thrilled that within two hours I have kept down 20 oz of fluid! I feel great and hopefully going home today and will be in my low home able to get all these tubes outta my arm and just relax and take care of myself! Good luck Hun I hope you are doing much better then I was!

  17. Ahh only 5 more days, my hospital doesn't require a liquid pre op diet I've read it's healthier that way so I stated one on the 31st and already down 5 lbs. and the protein shakes keep you full! Good luck to anyone having their surgery before mine!

  20. That's great that your so positive keep it up! Good luck to you for the surgery as well! I am counting down at this point lol
  21. Wow that sucks that they schedule all appointments that far apart I've had all the same testing with in a five month. And technically that was my choice I would've had my surgery at the end of November beginning of December but I had to push it to January for babysitting reasons. Maybe there's not too many specialists so it's harder to book the appointments? That's crazy.
  22. Awesome info I live close to Faunce corner so I'll have to grab some of the unflavored protein powder.
