Thank u ladies!! All I'm doing is walking. The doctor hasn't cleared me to do any other exercises yet. I'm only lapping my neighborhood do maybe a mile/day. Good luck with your surgeries! Best decision I've ever made!

Yesterday was my 2 week post op and I'm 30lbs down! Can't wait to see what the future holds! 345 to 315!!

Had my surgery (RNRGB) at 8 am on 1/7... Surprisingly not much pain now. Went on 2 walks and breathing normally. I'm super excited for this journey!

I was waiting for two months and checked in nearly everyday. My surgery was just approved today. However I scheduled my surgery two months ago, and it is next wednesday now the surgeon is saying I may be pushing it because I need time to do the preop tests. My advice would be to stay on them. I harassed them to make sure they stayed on their job. The insurance company almost denied me because my medical records weren't sent, then the insurance requested additional docs and testing but never communicated that to the surgeon. I found out by checking into it myself. Eventually they got tired of me checking in and got on their job. Crossing my fingers for u andhoping my surgery will still be next week.

Hey guys, I'm approved!! Thank God! The only thing is that my surgery date may get moved due to preop testing I'm cutting it close.

Thanks! I'm glad you're date finally rolled around. Fortunately I'm the only patient scheduled for surgery on the 18th, it's my insurance that's dragging the approval. I'm praying for a response by Monday so I can finally rest assured! How are you feeling?

Wow I'm sorry that you are going through this too, but kind of glad that I'm not the only one. You hit the nail in the head with everything you said. The insurance companies sure don't hesitate to take their payment, but when you need to use those funds, they drag their feet and try to find a reason why you should be approved. I'm just ready to get this over with and hope that my date doesn't get moved.

Ok guys my patience is running low!! After doing everything my insurance requested, they had 14 days to make a decision. After not hearing anything for almost 2 weeks, I had to contact them only for them to tell me that they were waiting on medical records, and requested an EKG, medical clearance and lab work from my PCP, which i rushed to have done the same day the insurance requested it on 11/20. The surgeon submitted my lab results and clearance on Monday of this week, but I still haven't gotten a response. The surgical coordinator said my tentative surgery date of 12/18 may be pushing it if they don't make a decision soon. I had already planned everything around this date. Has anyone else had to go through this, and if so, were you finally approved or denied? I just need some relief and I won't fully have it until I have an answer! Please help!
