  1. I wasn't told this, but they shaved my stomach during surgery. Lol
  2. So... I had insurance cover my medical expenses for the testing I needed, and now I'm getting bills for them. :( I don't have money for them because I spent so much on the surgery. No idea what to do...

  3. You're going to have a pulse oximeter on. You can't have nail polish on or it won't be able to read the percentage of oxygen in your blood.
  4. Frozen Yogurt tends to be very sugary or carb heavy. From my experience, greek yogurt was what I was told to get for my preop. Very Protein heavy. Now, I love Greek Yogurt. It's delicious to me. I wouldn't do Froyo, get Dannon Lite n Fit Greek Yogurt. So good!
  5. Hey everyone. I'm a bit confused about this. If we're stuck to a 1,200 calorie diet, how will we be able to gain muscle? I'm just wondering. Thanks!

    Sugar cookie dough

Sounds good. I think she means it'd be a strong trigger for her.

    vegetarian/ vegan sleevers

Make sure you look up "Gluten Flour" not "Gluten Free Flour." They're two distinct things.

I was using this one at the local store. I can try to find it here.

I found gluten flour to be high in protein! It's 22 grams for 1/4 a cup. I think it was 100 something calories? ONly 3 active carbs, too.
  10. I'll be honest with you. You have all the information in front of you. What's keeping you from tracking? I bet in the amount of time it took you to write this post, you could have tracked it. Make a habit of it and you'll do it. If you're worried about not eating the right amount of calories or nutrients, plan your days ahead of time and stick to the plan. You got surgery. You need to invest in yourself. You spend so many dollars and so much time up to this point. Why cop out now? Also, please take your Protein. You won't recover without it. Best.

    dumping syndrome!

From my reading, it usually last an hour and then people usually feel tired after for a bit. You could just be sick.
  13. If that's a hobby you want to invest in, go for it!
  14. I must break 240 pounds. >:( This week.

    Back to sliders

I've honestly had the mentality you were talking about. I'm 2 months out, and while reading this I thought, "I could totally eat a piece of pizza." and had the thought to go get it. Don't give in. A craving last a moment, your life lasts longer. You can fight it. I believe in you.

  20. I started running at 3 week out. Call your doctor to get his opinion.
  21. First off, congratulations on your surgery! All your hardwork has paid off and soon you'll be so much lighter. It's so worth it. Because a lot of people don't understand that the sleeve is just a tool and everything that was a problem before mentally is still there. Don't get me wrong, I sometimes think to myself, "I did take the easy way out. I lose so easily now," but in actuality I can screw up. I can drink a lot of high calorie drinks. I could sit and eat ice cream forever (It just SLIDES through!) So yes, the surgery makes eating better a high probability due to low hunger which makes positive choices a lot easier, it's still up to us to make the choices. No amount of surgery can determine that.
  22. Congratulations on the weight taken off! That's a big step in a great direction. I agree with everything in the thread but I think one main point is missing. On another note, don't look at exercise as a punishment. Think of it as building yourself up. I know it's very hard to get that mentality, but to achieve the success you want long term, you have to retrain yourself into working out. And perhaps "harder" for you is starting HIIT training instead of just walking, or something else. Congratulations on the loss, and keep on fighting on.

    Ketosis

I felt guilty when I ate watermelon, honeydew, and raisins. I personally am of the viewpoint of counting calories and working from there. But if you'd like to do Keto, go for it. It's just a very hard transition in. Have a lot of chicken Soup stocked and keep it salty.

    Alcohol calories and working out

While the alcohol may not make you gain fat, it will be taxing on your liver and it will influence the amount of Water in your body. A few glasses of wine in a week might not break the bank, but don't take it too far. Take it up with your NUT, but I think you should be fine if you're far out enough.

    Maintenance.

Hey everyone. So Tuesday I start the final stage of the diet. I realized this a few days ago, and I don't know exactly how to start. What foods should I start reintroducing? I'm at 248 now. I want to keep losing. Also, question for everyone: Right now, I can barely fit in all the Protein I have to eat. I haven't been eating many vegetables. Is this alright?
