Thank you!!!! I am going to try to pick some up this week to see if I like them I had french vanilla in the EAS ones I drink & it was horrible to me too.

Premier Protein shake is the best choice for me.. I love the choc.. I let it get really cold ( icy) in the freezer and it tastes great.. 30g of Protein .. I drink 2 a day and eat a Greek yogurt and that in itself is 73 grams of protein easily..

Is the premier protien shake an already made one or is it a powder? I am really thinking about trying them. I have seen so many people saying that is what they use. Where can you buy them at?

Hey everyone I want to check in haven't been on the site or posted in a while. I'm doing great the ruff patch is over and I'm now enjoying my journey on becoming the new me. I'm down 32 pounds so far I feel like that's kind of slow but I was told its about average I'm okay with that's cause it 32 pounds I wouldn't have lost if I didn't get the surgery

This was me at my heaviest and me today look like more than 32 pounds I know but I think it's inches as well not sure how many :)

Thanks TES. Constipation is another problem. I have not had a bowel movement since before my surgery. I was sleeved on Thursday (four days ago). Wondering if i should take a laxative?

Milk of magnesia is what my surgeon told me to take for constipation. I have not had any problems with that at all yet so haave not tried it. I drink the EAS AdvantEdge carb control in chocolate & strawberry they have less then 1gram of dietary fiber in them. I get them at wal-mart. Best of luck on your journey!!! I have been on an emotional rollercoaster since my surgery too so I have been trying to stay away from everyone for now. Had a melt down a week after my surgery. It will get better, well that is what I hear, still waiting for that day lol... I was sleeved on july 18th.

Are Protein shakes part of the 64 ounces? Or do we not include them in the total goal of 64 ounces?

I was sleeved on Thursday (July 25) and am now four days out (wow, can't believe it, so surreal).

My surgeon & my NUT both told me that my protien shakes are included in the 64oz's we are to drink. However all surgeons & NUT's are different. I was sleeved on July 18th & I I can only drink 3 protien shakes @11 oz's & 2 16.9 oz poland spring Water a day.

That is so sad. I am sorry they did this maybe they were trying not to hurt your feelings when you could not eat? You might want to let them know that next time they can invite you. I sat through my mom's 80th birthday dinner...had the ricotta inside the eggplant and broth. 11 days post op.

Thank you, I don't think they intentionly tried to hurt me either however my sister had been up visiting feom texas when I had my surgery with my nieces & nephews & everyone went out for Breakfast the day b4 she left which was on tuesday 2 days b4 my daughters birthday & I was asked to go & I did go & had my protien shake so I don't understand why I was left out the next time they went out. My daughter had asked while out at breakfast if we were going to take her out for hwr birthday & I had told her I believed that her graduation/birthday party plus her gifts which came to over $2, 000 for the party & all was more than enough & that we would not be doing anything else. Well she went behind my back & re-asked everyone but me & they left me out. I was only asked again after I had a melt down & got into an argument with everyone. Maybe I was the one in the wrong I dont know.

I am 1 week & 1day post op & had a melt down yesterday. I could not stop cleaning the house & then later flew off the handle & locked myself in my room because my family & my daughter were going out to eat for my daughter birthday & even though I can not eat I was still never asked if I would like to go until I threw a fit about it. Made me feel invincible just because I had my surgery. I could have taken a protien shake with me & drank that while they eat just as I do at home. Sad part is only a few days after my surgery my sister & her kids were here visiting from texas & everyone went out to eat & I was asked & I went & drank my shake but at least I was able to enjoy time with them all. I really felt like I was losing my mind yesterday & had began to think why did I do this??? But then I remembered that I did it to live a better healthier life but not to be ignored or to feel invincible.

Had my one week follow up appt today. Got weighed & I am down 17lbd since last friday. Had my surgery done on thursday july 18th. I am very happy & excited to see what the future holds. Just got back from a nice walk outside too congrats to all of the july sleevers!!!!

I am definitely feeling extremely emotional as well. I get very upset & cranky with everyone. It started yesterday whicch marked my one week since my surgery. I thought maybe I was going crazy it was my daughters 18th birthday & everyone went out to eat & I just felt so left out all because I had the surgery does not mean that I dont exist any more I could have went & took my protien shake with me but noone bothered to even ask. I think that is what hurt the most. :'(

The gas pains are the worst pains I have ever had but gasx does help once you get home. Walking helps in the hospital. Olus you will have pain meds but they did not help me much with the gas pains. Everyone is different but I would definitely prepare for some bad pain for the first few days. After that it gets better each day. I have almost no pain at all now & I had it done july 18th. Best of luck & keep us updated about how everything went you will be fine just do lots of walking & try gasx once you go home.

Sleeved same day. Almost identical experience. Gasx helped a great deal with gas pains. Down 15 lbs. Would also love to hear about food choices at puréed stage. A sample plan would be great. Thank you

Yes the gasx did help a great deal. I did the gasx right after I came home. It was one of the first things I grabbed for when I walked through the door. It was my best friend for the first few days I was home.

Hi I had my gastric sleeve july 18th. The first 2 days were the worst for me with the gas pains. I am doing very well now & I am 15lbs down since friday when I came home from the hospital. It may be more then that but I forgot to weigh myself before just going in & my scale & the hospital scale is off by 7lbs. At home I weighed 321lbs when I came home but at the hospital I weighed 314lbs... I am able to get in my 3 protien shakes they told me to drink but I know I do not get in as much Water & other fluids as I should. Next week I start the pureed food & was wondering what did many of you eat during that stage? I am thinking baby food may be the easiest on my belly but would love any suggestions for all of you
