  1. Good luck with your surgery on Tuesday! I am really excited for you.:clap2::clap2::clap2:
  2. Amieru, I am from Tulsa. The doctor's office doesn't help you find a fill dr. However, there are several places in OKC and Norman that do. If you go to the Oklahoma thread under USA and Local support they can tell where to go. Hope that helps. PS I am going to Southcrest for my fills. aubrey
  3. BTW, Woofay, I hope the fill does the trick!
  4. Yes I really am freaky excited. It seemed like it wasn't real until they set the date. I do need some advice though. A part of me feels like I should eat whatever I want until I go on the Pre-Op diet, but another part of me feels like I should continue to try to diet. What did you guys do?
  5. I am 27 and will be banded on Aug 22 by Dr Kirschenbaum in Aurora, CO. Aubrey
  6. Phentermine is only supposed to be used for about 3 months at a time. Almost everyone who uses phentermine gets tachyphylaxis which means your body gets used to it and it doesn't work anymore. It can raise your blood pressure and cause insomnia.
  7. NSAIDs, even if they are liquid or injections can still cause ulcers, so you still have to be careful. They block COX, (this relieves the pain) COX also protects your stomach from stomach acid.
  8. I am scheduled for Aug 22. I am really excited!:clap2:
  9. woofay - I am in Tulsa, OK. It sounds like I am going to be really happy. I am so excited! I am ready to get on with my life.
  10. Marcy, I called Dr. K's office this morning and they were so helpful. They already scheduled my surgery for August 22. I can't believe it happened so quickly!! You will have to let me know how it went for you! Aubrey
  11. I just found out today that I will be having my surgery on August 22!!! I am so excited!:clap2:
  12. Was it hard using Dr. K even though you are not from Colorado. I am considering using him as well. Did he schedule all of your consultations on the same day? I guess I am asking how you did everything? Aubrey:help:
  13. I found the thread, but I can't pull up the websites.
  14. Hey guys, I know I am from Oklahoma, but I am trying to find a doctor close to me that charges a reasonable amount. In my area it is around $20,000. I was reading a thread by some people about a surgeon at Tallgrass that does them for $10,500. I can't find the tread anymore. Does anyone know anything about that clinic or the doctor. I would appreciate any info you guys have. Thanks, Aubrey
  15. It costs $9500 in Denver. I was worried about what would happen about the fills. Thanks for the info. Aubrey
  16. Any of you use Dr. Katsis. I have my educational meeting on July 2 with Dr. Katsis and Dr. Fisher. I will be self-pay. I am trying to find out how much they charge because I am trying to decide if I want to go to Denver for the surgery. I haven't had much luck with their business office. They tell me they will go over all of that at the educational meeting. Any help would be appreciated!!!
  17. Thank you for the answers!
  18. I have been reading some of the posts and it sounds like you cannot drink Diet soda anymore. Is that true. I have a consultation on July 2 so I haven't be able to ask any questions yet.:phanvan
  19. Hi everyone! I am Aubrey from Tulsa, OK. I have my first consultation on July 2. Anyone here used any docs in Tulsa. Trying to find out how much it will cost because I am self-pay. After reading this site, I am tempted to go to Dr. K in Denver.
