Mine stopped itching around 4 weeks out, by 6 weeks all my glues was gone. I used to take allergy medicine like benadryal to help wit the itching so you won't need much just a pill every now and then helped me through the tough times. Just be careful no to scratch the glue off until its time.

Ok, I'm in... Starting weight 259. Goal is 245. I tend to be a slow loser so I set the goal for 14 lbs. I hope to do much better!!!
I weigh in at 255 and I would like to be down to 245 lbs as well...... Lets do it. I look at this is just having fun even if I don't get there by then I know I will someday. Lets just have fun with this and stay supportive and active. Awesome idea....

In the first few days post op I took diet 7-up and put it in ice cube trays. Once frozen, no more carbonation but all the taste. So for those of you craving your favorite sodas this may do the trick!
I just add plenty of ice to my drink and the flavor is so much smoother. I don't drink soda anymore but beer is ok like this if you want to drink 1.

Pay it forward when you can ..... (:I just cannot tell you people how grateful I feel right now for all of you. Someday I will be able to help someone else through this miserable-ness (if that's a word...)

To be honest when I start to feel like I have had enough to eat, I won't even try and take a last bite of anything. I will eat just about enough, and wait for a few minutes and see how I feel. If you eat to fast it is easier to over eat. Just because we have sleeves doesn't mean we can eat fast or faster. I have to make myself throw up to get the food out. Just like you I have learned my lesson and do not even attempt to get full on food in fear that I may cause that horrible feeling. It feels like you want to burp but you cant, all that gassy feeling hurts bad as you know... Just be careful and eat slower.

It 's all about personnel image, and body fat percentage after surgery. Some folks are just fine with the way they look and don't think twice about their image to others. So if you have found someone you can compare to for your preferred body type go for it....

I just cant bring myself to drink tea before my sleeve I hate it. Tea taste like dirt to me. I'm not sure why I always felt like this but I just have never went to drinking it since. I have been drinking the Walmart and crystal light packets. I have not been back on soda but I have been known to drink a few iced over beers at home.

Cooking yes, eating no because you are basically eating to survive.. Your portions are very small and you might just enjoy the first couple of bites then become upset because you can't even eat an entire kids portion of food. Just my 2 cents

My wife was type 2 pre op and now post op is no longer having any sugar issues and she is 2 months out.

My wife is over 2 months out drinks soda over ice any type of diet soda she loves and seems to be doing good. No problems, she felt the same way. A lot of things are said about the sleeve to scare you into doing right. I have read so many conflicting articles but most say your ok and nothing will actually harm your sleeve. Soda i not poison.

Just speaking from a mans point of view I'm not looking at the hanging skin when its time to get it in, I like to be the only hanging ya feel me, (: Me and my wife both had the sleeve so its just something we don't care about. I would prefer to be others that were sleeved just so I know they know what I'm going through. Don't sweat the skin.... Not everyone can afford an extreme make over.

Put in for FMLA, and take a break come back after the birth.. You have to much on you right now. Don't let this one event stop you. Just take off for a while he can't stop that you need a break.

I hate when this bs happens, I have 3 degrees and my job won't even give me the promotion yet I'm allowed to apply every time so far been denied 3 times. If the 4th time I'm denied there won't be another. My current and past supervisors feel as if I should be a supervisor and I can't stand when people lie and act their way to the top when those that deserve it get bottomed out. I feel your pain

I like to drink beer over ice and smooth it out. I feel my cup full and have no problems. If I try and drink it with out the ice its to strong and the sleeve acts up. So I drink 1 can and sometimes a half. So far no problems and I drink it pretty slow.

I'm 6 weeks out ,as well and just recently started loosing weight again. Stalls are hard but they do pass.
-
Pre sleeve I could have eaten all that just being greedy. I think I would have only eaten the same size portion you did. It is a waste kids meal is to much at some places.

Thank you it has been a struggle but seeing results always makes me smile. Good luck to you @Greeknugget

Wow feeling good today, I'm down a total of 60lbs including weight I lost during preop diet today. The last week has been filled with stalls and I didn't think I would see the scales drop until next week. Just wanted to share my progress. I had my sleeve on 07/29/2013 so about a month and half just about .......

I have a couple of drinks on the weekend no problems, anymore than that I would be in a coma. I add plenty of ice to my drinks and feel great. I would never want to drink everyday and after being sleeved I couldn't handle it. No way I will be messing up any of my hard work I have achieved thus far. Just pace yourself and take it slow.
