  6. Ok, I have to share this with someone that would understand what a big step this was for me. I went for my last appointment with the surgeon yesterday and I expressed by what if I fail concerns with him. We talked for ahile and I was reassured I have every opportunity to succeed at this as anyone. The line that struck me was - We'll (the MD staff) will be there with you every step of the way on your weight loss journey even at 3 am. You'll never be able to forget we are in this toegether once you have the surgery - OK a little corny - but it worked for me. I stopped my Last suppering that I've been doing all month and I actually had the nerve to walk into VICTORIA SECRET today. I broswed like I belonged there and I will belong in a few months. I am not afraid to success. ROAR!

Hi Maria, why don't you start a thread to intrduce yourself and tell everyone who is the md and where and why and how you got to this decision. The people on this board are wildly supportive and very real. I hope you find the support you need from here. Debra

  11. Yup!!!! If you could actually see thru it from the inside out -- it's clean enough for me. They haven't made it to NYC yet!
  12. Since you have a new you, just a thought??? What about a personal shopper. Macy's nostroms bloomingdales and others of that thype have them for free. Just need to make an appointment. A professional shopper will help you choose a dress that is flatterinng to you and help with the proper undergarments. The undergarments are the foundation of any great look LOL. Have fun with it!
  13. Congratulations Shannon! You are doing terrific - You must feel wonderful.

  19. OK well I'm in the home stretch of the consults. I haven't been to this many Doc' since I gave birth. I saw the surgeon, my primary, Dietician, Psch consult, endoscopy, sleep study, Pulmonogist, Endocrinologist, cardiologist, stress tests, echo cardiagram and the primary for strep that I contracted along the way. So the only thing left it the sono of the gallbladder on monday and back to the Surgeon for the final consult. this has been a long process!!!!! After the next Consult with the surgeon on April 1. The insurance company will be contacted by the md office to obtain authorization. I have a PPO and the MD office is confident they approve the surgery. We'll see. thank you all, I needed to vent.
