Hi Lisa, If your insurance will pay for the consults - why don't you start the process. As I may have mentioned on another thread, if it was me I would double dheck if they exclude the lap band. GO for it - the worst they can say is no. Have your co morbidities documented by the specialists. I got approval in 24 hrs with a BMI of 35.
  4. I am almost in deniel here my surgery is Tuesday and I just got back from Disney with the family and I'm to start my 24hr clear liquod diet tomorrow morning. I think I should be more nervous than I am. I should just shut up and count my blessings. Thae Mays have a big week next week - good luck to you all!
  5. 2 more whoaaahoooooo! I can't believe it's only a few days away!!!!!! Getting excited!!
  6. Bumping and churning! Here we go!!!! Anyone else joining us may bandsters??????? My pre and post seem to be fairly easy - One day liquids pre and one day post liquids and then straight to musshie, mushie, mushie!!!!! I just went on my last FAT vacation. I will be leaner and healthier on the next one and hopefully keep up better. Lots of warm wishes to you all and happy losing!

  10. Hey goooooooooddddddddd for you. Where and with whom are you having the surgery so I can add you to the may bandster listing.
  11. I find there is a big difference between tall and long sizes. The talls come up to high on me. I'm 5'9, if I'm not tall who is?? LOLOLOL Long sizes in Lee are my favorite or NY & Co. (the old Lerner). Can't wait to fit in them again AAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  12. Life without the W . I can understand this charting new territory. I'm havng a hard time with the W suggesting a long tourso. Pants could go up to my boobs. Give it a few weeks you'll settle in. I love going into a dressing room where they help you and asking for a smaller size. When I get down to a 10 like our friend La madman. I will start at a 18 and go all the way down till I hit my 10. "may I have a smaller size please" Cruel, stupid but hey.
  13. thanks for pointing out your MD name I added it. ANYONE Else???????????????
  14. bumping.............
  15. C'mon post a picture. We could use some visual inspiration! Instead of waiting to be 40 and fab. You are a year ahead of the game. Congratulations to you!!! Enjoy - - - And I hope I can post a size 10 victory next year!!! I truly enjoy your posts.
  16. Hey I like the paper clip thing! Very creative. The ticker on the bottom of the posts. I'm no expert but go to the web site. Just click on one. Make it and Copy it, then paste is on your signature. I don't know how to change it except to do it again. I'm getting excited! I needed to buy clothes for vacation to Disney the week before and I bought very sparingly because I hopefully won't need this size for long. My goal to to have a summer without the W on my size 18's (or 16's). Who came up with that W system. It sucks emotionally. Good luck on the waiting

What part of the world ar you in and who is your insurance carrier. I have a BMI of 35 and sleep apnea, high blood pressure, stress incontentence. My carrier approved it in less than a day. I think there are way tooooo many variables for one NP to make generalizations. The size 6 group as I like to call the life long skinny people have no clue what life is like for us. Don't give up yet! Dig those heels in?? If this was for your child or spouse, you would instinctive fight fight fight. So why not for yourself?
  18. Breathe, breathe ,breathe. Find something to occupy your time today, try not to think of it. Focus on your long term goals and press on. The human body and spirit can endure tremondous things. Keep this in it's place. Ask what kind of pain meds you will be getting and use them. Good luck to you today and congratulations on your journey to a healthy and slim you!!!
  19. 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are one hottie! Enjoy
  20. Anyone else for May. We're a small but determined group right now!

  23. OK. You're almost at the half way mark. My advise is to find something to keep you ocuppied, read, garden, walk, shop, work out, paint, clean. Anything to stay on track. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay focused on your goals. Good Luck! (((((((HUGS from New York ))))))))))
  24. There are sooooo many April bandsters. You are in great company. Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!So where are you having it done????
