    My Band Has Slipped

I have just had the same thing happen. At first my surgeon thought that it was a slight slip (from results of an upper GI), so he took all the fluid out of the band and put me on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. He repeated the upper GI and did a scope where it showed things had gotten worse, so I had to have laproscopic surgery. He found a hiatal hernia that had caused my band to slip and he repaired both. We think this happened after my tummy tuck. I hope yours isn't this bad. Good Luck! By the way I am 5 years post op and have lost 105 pounds and kept it off.

    Why Does It Not Work

Do everything that your doctor, psychiatrist and nutritionist tell you to do. DO NOT MISS FILL APPOINTMENTS!!!! that is the most important. I had surgery april '07, have lost 65 pounds and still go see the doc every 6 weeks or so. Yes, it works, but it is only a tool. You must do the work, eat well balanced diet ( I follow Weight Watchers) and exercize.
