I am almost 9 months out and my weight loss has been stalled for about a month. I'm about 20 lbs from my goal and have already lost 103 lbs. I have been staying between 600-800 calories a day but my nutritionist said to increase it to around 1000. That has been hard for me. For one I find it physically hard to get that much food in. Two I'm so afraid of eating that much for fear of gaining weight. I'm not sure what the right amount is. Any advice/suggestions are welcome!

I'm about 8 months out and only about 20 lbs from goal so this is definitely my longest stall but I knew it be harder for the last few pounds. I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale after eating way more than normal. I usually stay under 800 calories but I'm wondering it I should increase it though?

Has anyone noticed when they increase their calories occasionally they actually lose weight? I have been in a stall for about a month now. Yesterday I ate more than I normally would have (still not a lot by normal standards) and when I got on the scale this morning I had lost 3 lbs. just wondering if anyone else he noticed this when increasing calories on occasion?

Not always on the right. Mine would start in the left and move right the dr said that it was common. If it continues, it may be worth checking out.
Oh wow I did not know that. I will definitely get it checked out if it gets worse.

Yes I do. But I thought gall bladder pain was on the right side?

I'm about 6 months out from surgery. Haven't had a single issue yet, but the past few days I've been having some chest pain that feels like it's in my diaphragm and lower stomach pain on my left side, whenever I eat. It's not unbearable but it's definitely there. I'm not sure if it's sleeve related or not. Had anyone else experienced this?

I took them for 3 weeks after surgery and my insurance paid for the generic of lovenox which is enoxaparin.

if you are dizzy when you stand it is too' date=' late and YOU can NOT drink enough to catch up...Go get IV Fluids....I have been dehydrated more than 4 times after surgery...IT SUCKS..[/quote']What made you decide you needed to get iv Fluid? Anything besides the dizziness?
-
How far out from surgery are you? It's pretty easy to get dehydrated' date=' especially early on, but I've seen folks on here seven, nine months out that had issues as well. I've never been dehydrated to the point I have needed an IV, but for your symptoms, I would suggest a trip to the ER for fluids. IV's aren't that bad, and you'll be feeling better soon. If you want to try something else, try G2 (low sugar Gatorade), Powerade zero to give you some electrolytes. I try to get a few bottles of that in a week just as a precaution.[/quote']I am 5 months out and this is my first experience feeling dehydrated. I'm going to try some G2. I just wasn't sure what was the point where most people decided they needed iv fluids.

I had a headache a few days after surgery' date=' but thought it was just the medication working its way out of my system. Keep track of your fluids. Try for a minimum of 64 oz a day. I wish you well![/quote']Thank you! I'm 5 months out now but this is the first time I've felt this way. Fluids are definitely my hardest thing to get in.

Drink more fluids?Thank you. Hadn't thought of that...

How do you know if you're dehydrated? And if so, how did you fix it or did you need to get iv fluids? I've had a bad headache all day, have been very thirsty, feel week and am very shaky. Guessing I'm dehydrated but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Wow about your Mom! Unfortunately there is a lot of prejudice. I was secretly wanting to wait to do a job search until more weight came off because I know people Pre judge' date=' even subconsciously. But I'll bet waiting tables is a lot easier now that you are carrying less weight. I know it's been much easier for me being on my feet now. Keep up the good work![/quote']
I know! I don't think she meant it in a bad way but I was still shocked she said it! It is true though that unfortunately people judge you as soon as they see you. And yes it is so much easier weighting tables without those 85 lbs! Lol
Thank you : )

The best compliment was from a little girl who I did not know. I was working and she walked right up to me and said "you're so pretty!" Hearing this from a child was so different than hearing it from adults. Children are just so honest whether we like it or not and it totally made my day.
The worst "compliment" was from my mother. I wait tables a couple nights a week for a little extra cash so my mother proceeded to tell me that I should try to work at a nicer restaurant because now that I'm skinny and attractive they will probably hire me. Like they never would have hired me before.

Looking great!!
Thank you!

I've been looking at all your incredible before and after photos and it is breathtaking. You all look at least ten years younger ! - I wanted to ask you all something - when i look at your photos I'm looking at them without knowing you at all so I see them without bias. I'm wondering when you look at your "after" photos do you really see the full difference in yourselves ? what I mean is' date=' are they as startling to you as they are to me ?[/quote']When I look at my pictures I wonder "is that really me?" I see an incredible difference in pictures. But sometimes when I look in the mirror I still see myself 85 pounds ago. It's a fight to remind myself I'm not that girl anymore.

I feel the exact same way. I went from a 20 to a 12 and am still losing. I'm still shocked when people notice I've lost weight. And for the first time in like, forever, someone called me SKINNY!!! I was in shock! I still don't feel like that's a term that will ever apply to me. I'd like to one day see in the mirror what everyone around me seems to see.

If you don't mind me asking' date=' how did you get no interest for 5 year with care credit, I have only seen no interest for 18 months?[/quote']
The no interest for 18 months is for a lower amount spent. I believe it's like 3000 and under or something. I self paid my surgery for about 8500 and that amount qualified for 60 months no interest.
-
Don't know but worth a look into.
-
I used care credit for my surgery. It's medical care financing. Interest free for 5 years when a certain amount is spent.

You look amazing!Thank you so much!

To you too! I love your screen name -- I'm guessing that you came and you gave without taking...And then they sent me away, oh Mandy! Lol
I'm glad you like it!

In the beginning, probably the first 4 months or so I don't think I ever went above 600. I can't be that restrictive anymore. If I go below 500 for more than a day or so I'm weak and light headed
