  1. Sounds like pancreatitus to me.

I had it and had to go to the ER. This was before my surgery tho. I doubt this far out its surgery related.

Mine was triggered by a hamburger. Fatty, greasy foods do it. Pain is right where you stated and sometimes can radiate to back. Its a a nagging pain, not SHARP but its definitely there and you can feel it move around a little. Gullstones are possible too

  2. I too am in the same boat. No problems whatsoever. No pain after surgery, no nausea, no problems with food. Matter of fact, Im not doing anything I am supposed to be. No Vitamins, not enough Protein, not enough Water, not exercising.

20 days after my surgery, I became a foster parent to 3 children...8,5 and 10 mo. And my life got turned upside down. Im single and trying to take care of them and getting a routine down has consumed all my time. Im so thankful that my surgery happened when it did. I am just now starting to plan and get my self in check with everything I am supposed to be doing.

I feel GREAT, ive lost 69 pounds since July 19 and loving the new me. Im actually glad that I havent been working out. I cant imagine how much I woulda lost if I had been and have all that excess skin. I only have a little bit of hair loss so I like you, feel bad because I know Im not trying and those that are.....well.......are having some rough times.

  3. My surgeon wants everyone to take 30 days off. I could have easily went back after a few days but to be honest, the learning of what foods to eat, what to make, what works and what doesnt is essential. I have a comfy computer job (Robotic Engineer) for Toyota and felt I needed to take the full amount. However everyones insurance isnt the same. I used short term disability. Some might not have that option.

  4. I have tried soda and had absolutely no problems at all. Of course you cant drink much of it but for me theres no pain, no bloating ect like some say. It does NOT stretch the sleeve like some might suggest. Just do it in moderation

  5. I remember seeing on the forum somewhere that someone added mouthwash to the list of things to bring to the hospital cause your mouth is going to be extremely dry and you won't have anything by mouth for awhile.

They provided me with a mouth moisturizer for that and also a mouthwash swab

  6. Ya everyones recovery is way different. For me I was discharged with a script for pain meds and nausea, picked them up, and never once used them. My incisions havent hurt at all (they used the new fancy glue to put me back together). The only real pain I have had was a little discomfort from my hiatal hernia they repaired. Right now, Im a week out and really trying to figure out why they say for me to take a month off work. I was ready after I got sent home from hospital. I havent had any problems with food or Water or anything going down. Matter of fact, I hope they tell me that I can move to next stage today at appt.

Take your meds and walk walk walk. It might hurt but it will work it out

  7. I too had surgery on the same day and not feeling hunger at all. Im doing 2 protien shakes, yogurt, cottage cheese and sometimes eggs. My problem is drinking Water, just seams I dont want to do it!!! Down 20pnds already since preop 7 day diet(ok more like a 5 day diet)!!! Healing nicely, havent had any pain since I came home from the hospital. Not sure why doctor says for us to take a month of work. Ill take it but I feel fine!!
