Moisturize moisturize moisturize. I've been using Nivea skin firming q10 lotion for a few weeks now and I've noticed a huge difference on the ones on my legs and stomach. And it's cheap too

I agree. You def need to listen to your body. I'm learning to eat slowly and I'm very picky over what I eat to make sure I'm getting all the right things in. I've been keeping a timer and waiting about 2 mins between eat bite. It gives my body a chance to feel full. And you experiment. Just because at The moment bread Pasta n rice don't sit well doesn't mean I'm not going to try it again. But I'll try it in the privacy of my own home

I'm not missing them either. I tried them once because they were on my list of foods o introduce. But they really don't make me feel good at all

I'm here in the US on holiday and I'm planning on buying myself some little itty bitty thongs! Once I start loosing a bit more that is all I'm going to wear once my butt get a bit smaller :-)

I'm about 7 weeks post op and I'm finding that rice does not sit well at all (like a lead weight actually) pasta makes me slime (doesn't bother me not a huge pasta eater) and red meat is hard to digest at this moment

I'm here visiting my family and have just discovered crystal light. I'm having trouble drinking Water and need flavoring. So I added a sachet of it to a glass of water. But it was way too sweet and strong. So I'm going to experiment. But what other food/drink products that are bariatric friendly.

On holiday in the USA recommend me food products
lubelu replied to lubelu's topic in Food and Nutrition
Perfect thank you all for your suggestions. We went off to whole foods today and I got some oats for Breakfast and crackers for lunch. Just delicious. -
As I've been introducing foods I've kept my phone timer next to me because I have struggled with learning to chew slowly and to take breaks between bites. So I time my chews then wait 1-2 minutes to see how it feels going down I've really learnt how eat with my new stomach and in having less and less problems.

Height, weight and loss
lubelu replied to Fit2btied's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeve date August 6 2013 Highest weight: 121 kg (266lb) Sleeve weight: 111kg (244lb) Current weight: 100.1 (220lb) Height: 5.4 (164cm) -
I had to reply because I was due for my first AF since my surgery on the 6th August and it is 5 days late. I've not had the usual spotting, weight gain or bloating before hand, so I'm thinking that because of the weight loss and surgery our hormones go all out of whack. I'm sure as time goes on it should even it self out.

Hi I'm in WA too and was sleeved by Dr Armstrong at Hollywood 3 weeks ago. Everything is going very smoothly and I'm not having too many issues. I have good energy I'm more active and I've lost 14kg since preop Optifast diet. I'm just wishing I had done the sooner. Now I'm struggling for clothes. Dresses are fine but my pants no longer fit. Need a jock shopping trip I think ! I hope all are well

Thank you all for the replies. :-)

Does anyone know of an app that will allow you to input and track changes in your body measurements? I want o be able to see the changes in my body with measurements. How does everyone else do it. At the moment I'm just writing it in a table. I'ld like one a little more high tech. Thanks xx

Hahaha!!!! I know I know! :-)

I'm due for my first period since surgery and it seems to be running late (3days) I definitely know I'm not pregnant and it usually is right on time. Could it be my body adjusting to my surgery and weight loss?
-
Omg I just saw that on my fitness pal!! Thanks all :-)

I'm a teacher too. I felt great after a week but I took two weeks off during the semester. I had a number of sick days accrued so my principal was completely fine with me taking the time off. Discuss with your principal some options. It might help. (I'm in Australia so our system might be a bit different)

So damn hungry...
lubelu replied to holidayexpressions's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One way I added flavor to my chicken broth is a tradition Italian recipe. Warm your broth and beat one egg and some Parmesan cheese add the egg and cheese to the broth and gently cook for a few minutes. It adds beautiful flavor and body and the Parmesan cheese is delicious. It gives flavor and necessary Protein. -
I'm finally on soft foods and at a small piece of white fish tonight. It went down so well and it felt good eating something. I've needed to chew slowly but it sits well. I had a little soft ricotta on the side but fight need it. So far from from the start of preop to yesterday (one month) I'm down 20lbs. I'm so pleased but have stalled a little. It has started to come off again but I'm avoiding my scale. I also did my measurements and that's impressive. They are coming right down and that's. exciting.

Nervous about a stall already
lubelu replied to janacreid's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am exactly the same as you. I'm 14 days out and in the last week I've moved only 2 lbs. but for 4 days I stalled. I'm hoping this is normal too. I just didn't think I would have a stall this early on either. But Do your measurements. Have they changed?
