  1. Wow! How r u getting in 80g? I'm really struggling! Only getting in 3-5 glasses of Water a day and 20-40g Protein. I was sleeved 2/17.

I'm drinking 3 Protein Shakes a day (yes at a month out) Muscle Tech has 20 grams per scoop. Add 2% milk and I'm close. I've been experimenting with what foods I can tolerate and I'm there. The fluids is a challenge some days. I really need to focus on drinking. I am now one of those water bottle carrying people.

  2. That's awesome. No problems here. Sleeved Feb 3rd. It hit 29 lbs this morning and 75 lbs total with pre op diet. I'm taking in around 70 ozs of Water, 700 cals and 80 grams of Protein per day. It's going to be an awesome summer for us. Here is a picture of my progress. The two pics are maybe 8 woks apart and around 40 lbs. post-180481-0-31183400-1394227212_thumb.jpg

  3. Great this tread is still active. This Respiratory Therapist is now sleeved. Surgery was 2/3/14 and I can say all is well. No problems sipping, getting my fluids and Protein in. Walking is going well my OR IV fluids has come off nicely and as of today I am down 5 lbs from Monday morning. I think about the Stephen King movie "Thinner" when I see myself begin to melt. I'm on my way. 2014 is my year!!!

  4. I had my eval 2 weeks ago. I am a 49 yr old male.

I was exhausted after my eval I needed a nap. A 20 page questionnaire followed by a 2 hour interview. How far do you let them in? Hard cracking that door open an inch and not letting it burst open. Funny note. I was handed a piece of paper that had the outline of an obese person on it. Around the out edge were ailments related to be overweight. After stating which

Ailments i have " at my current weight". I was then ask which of the others am I concerned about getting if I do not lose weight. Having had enough of this eval I looked over the list and said, I pretty much have the four worse on the list and attempted to hand the sheet back to the good doctor. He said surely there is something I was concerned about getting if I didn't lose the weight. I looked again and stated polycystic ovarian disease. I look up and he is writing that in my chart. I start laughing out loud and he looks up at me, makes a face and scratches out my reply. Funny ****. Not that PCOS us funny but I was done. 10 minutes later its all over. 10 minutes after that he returns with his eval and my approval. YEAH!!! I then stated. It was a little tense in there. Ya gotta cut loose now and then and walked away a happy man.

Ive got 2-3 more hoops to jump through and hoping for a mid December surgery date.

  5. I am currently a stay at home mom of three ages 6 to 16. I do a lot of volunteering both at the elementary school my two youngest attend and also with the Plymouth area coalition for the homeless (we put homeless men up in local churches for about six months a year' date=' feeding them dinner and making sure there are always two chaperones with them). I was previously a preschool teacher with a short stint in a toddler room and was also an infant teacher. Would love to go back to school for social services. Sleeved August 28 down 32 lbs as of this morning[/quote']

    1) not being afraid to garden in my front yard( bending over to pull those weeds in my shorts surely would freak out the neighbors' date=' dog - walkers and passers-by

2)soak in the tub and be fully submerged

3)get up from sitting on the floor without the aide of nearby furniture
