Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
I'm gagging on just the smell of the Protein powder. I don't know how to get enough calories in. I don't want to puke. I am not hungry at all. This is wild. I pray for the day I can begin to eat normal food. Thank you.

I wonder if you're not getting enough calories. It makes our body's metabolism slow down and hold onto weight because it thinks it's starving. Although 12 lbs. is a lot of weight. :-). I'm concerned about this myself. I have my first post Op check up Friday, so we shall see. Remember to be kind to yourself. :-)

September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
Ok...so I just had a melt down. Radiating pain coming from my tummy and I cannot eat or drink anything accept the protein flavored water. I don't want to lose my hair. I cannot get anything sweet past my lips without gagging. Im avoiding puking too. Just to hiccup hurts. I can't imagine enduring that pain. I emailed my Dietician, but she hasn't emailed me back. I'm able to get enough liquids to avoid dehydration, but I know I need protein to achieve the results I am wanting with my skin, hair, and nails. Ok...I'm done ranting.

September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
I'm doing better today. Thank God! I plan on going for a walk with my dogs tomorrow. I hope it will help eliminate the remainder of the gas. I'm doing my best to try and burp every time I take a drink to help alleviate extra gas pains. So far today I haven't felt nauseous. Thank God!!!

I'm 2 1/2 days out and I have a headache. I'm drinking more than required, but I heard the headache could be from too low of calorie intake. I'm only drinking tea, Water, and a Protein juice. That only got me to under 200 calories. I'm just afraid to cause the radiating pain. I'm shooting for more calories tomorrow. We shall see. I wish you relief.

September sleevers?!?!
Thank you, I do have the GasX strips. I was able to get down the medicine two additional times without vomiting. If I stay on the pain killer it takes away the radiating pains that seem to be coming from my stomach. I just got down 1/2 cup of lime jello. I'm going to try the heat.....thank you!

Fatty Liver
I forgot to mention I either used vanilla, banana, or non- flavored Protein Powder to the drink. I had to sweeten the unflavored one with Stevia. I liked that because I don't like super sweet stuff to drink.

Fatty Liver
I had to do a 2 week liquid only diet. My doc showed me pictures of how well I did in sticking to the liquid diet. I lost 4 inches off my waste. It felt like torture for the first 4 days, but I stocked up on SF Jello and Popsicles for those times I didn't think I could do it. I experimented with different kinds of Protein shakes/smoothies. My favorite flavor combo was chocolate (unsweetened cocoa in the baking isle), Peanut Butter (PB2 powder has a lot less calories) made with milk. The more ice the more it felt like a treat. I hope that helps.

I was nervous too, but I decided to surrender and trust my healthcare team. I was sleeved on Saturday and Sunday and Monday have been difficult. Make sure you take your pain meds before the time is up. I wish you the best! We are on a new journey that is very difficult. This definitely is not the easy way out, regardless of what anyone thinks.

September sleevers?!?!
I'm home and last night and this morning have been tough. The radiating gas pains hurt so bad. It makes me cry. I almost vomited a couple of times. Once right after taking my liquid pain medicine. I'm praying for a speedy recovery. I'm not hungry yet. Good to hear back from you.

Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
First night in the hospital. I did pretty good. It's hard to do the tiny amount of water they want me to do. I was so dehydrated. I probably am drinking too much, but I feel fine. I really want to get home so I can rest.

September 2013 sleevers..Requesting sleeve buddies :)
We are in the same boat. I'm tying to walk as much as I can. They have told me this is the best thing to do to get it released faster. At times the gas feel like I'm being stabbed. Even rubbing the area hurts. Then I just pray.

Thank you!- A year out! Pic included :)
- Isopure? What is that?
I'll have to try that! I did check with my nutritionist. She said it has 2 different kinds of protein. The way is the best. The college not do much. She still gave it the stamp if approval. :-). Thanks for the idea of adding it to water. :-)- Isopure? What is that?
I'm with you on that. I tried one and almost gagged. I'm not even post Op. Lol. I bought 6 bottles all different flavors. I hope I can use them to get my protein in post Op.- So, I consider myself fairly tolerant of stupid people (or I mask it well), but...
