Seems unreal doesn't it lol. Wait til you get a date then you'll be like wait no it's here already
I'm in a little in shock right now. Would it be silly to start prepping now? Or do people wait until things are submitted to their insurance company?

Today was my psych evaluation and I passed! I'm SO happy! Final insurance required weigh-in will be this Saturday, contacting my surgeon on Tuesday and making that appointment to see him one last time before they submit my case to my insurance company. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks from now my insurance wil be notified. I'm so excited and so nervous. I didn't think I would finally get this close!!!

I had my surgery with Dr.Yatco. His practice is the best in the city. Google it.I know, I went to his seminar and met with him already. Did you have to wait long after you got approved for his surgery? I heard he was booked months in advanced

My doctor recommended I try the mushie and liquid diet for one day prior to gettign the surgery date. I might do it next week.

Have you been told your date of surgery yet?
No, I have one more weigh-in to attend next month, and a few other pre-requisites.

Nothing to share as far as the doctors go, but welcome! And congratulations on moving foward with your surgery! Good luck!
Thank you so much JerseyGirl

I'm a little ervous about how I will handle that pre-op diet. I am more nervous about it than the surgery itself, lol.

Hi everyone, my name is Niky, from NYC (living in the Bronx). I'm 31, SW 286, CW 280. Getting sleeved by Dr. Belsley, he's affiliated with St. Lukes/Roosevelt. Has anyone been sleeved with Dr. Belsley? I started the process with Dr. Yatco at Lennox Hill, but my mom suggested I check out Dr. Belsley as she knows someone who works for him. I went in and LOVED how they treat you, but in the back of my mind I'm wondering if I should still stick with Dr. Yatco. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks

Healthfirst requires 6 months but I was accepted with only 4. My surgery is August 8th .. Good luck!
Thanks Muneca and good luck to you too! Did you start your pre-op diet?

Hi everyone, my name is Niky, living in the bronx. I'm 31, SW 286, CW 280. Getting sleeved by Dr. Belsley, he's affiliated with St. Lukes/Roosevelt. I have Fidelis insurance (through medicaid) and was just sent a letter saying I can change insurance to another provider. With Fidelis I have to do the 6 month waiting, is healthfirst ALWAYS 3 months wait list ( i went yesterday to my 3 month appointment), or is it case by case?

Dr. Belsley's office' date=' he's affiliated with St. Luke's Roosevelt.[/quote']
Hi Deli, I am in the middle of the process with Dr. Belsley, I was just wondering how everything went with him and how you are doing post-op. I'm a little nervous because there aren't a lot of reviews about him in regards to the sleeve.
Almost done!
