i'm 2.5 weeks out and I've already experienced hunger. I've drank fluids and STILL get the gurgling hungry feeling.

I was nauseous until I hit three weeks out from surgery. Keep taking your meds, and all of a sudden you will feel better one day.
I throw up when I take my meds I am feeling horrible, 2.5 weeks out.

2 weeks post op' date=' I have these bursts of crying sessions. Anyone else?[/quote']Yes, I'm two weeks out too and I just want to cry, no reason at all. Only thing holding back the tears are being at work.... I don't even know why I want to cry, I just do. I hope you're feeling better.

I must confess... My husband made our toddler homemade pizza on pita bread (sauce and cheese). I don't have issues with anyone eating in front of me, but when I went to clear my sons plate, I put my tongue on a saucy cheesy part, I didn't lick, just placed my tongue on it for about 2 seconds. The cheese felt like plastic and the sauce felt metallic.
This was a day before I became a week post-op.

I'm a week and a half out. I feel like I stretched out my sleeve. I can drink Water regularly ( without taking sips) and it barely hurts. I just get a little gassy. Did I mess myself up"?

How u feeling?
How was ur surgery?
Congrats on ur decision... I will keep u in my prayers!!!

I'm feeling good, thank you for asking. Just a bit sore at the main incision and trying hard to keep my liquids down.
My surgery went well. The first night was rough, but mostly because I was getting over a cold when I went into surgery that seems to have come back with a vengeance the moment I entered the hospital, lol. Coughing and trapped gas don't mix.

I have been sleeved on 9/23rd as well I can sleep on my side as well as my stomach but the issue that I am having is getting the liquids down. I can get about 5 or 6 spoons of broth and then it feels like its rumbling in my stomach and trying to come back up . sometimes its like that and I haven't consumed anything. Has anyone else experience this?Yes, I experience rumbling... Like a mini earthquake

I have a 2 year old. I did it because I feel I've robbed him enough "playtime"with mom. I don't want to sit on the sideline of his life. I don't want to be a prisoner in my own body.
I was very very very scared. I've always thought I was one of those people that wouldn't take the "easy"way out. This is the hardest way to do it.it took years to finally say yes and months to wrap my brain around it. It took years of my family begging me to do this before I even considered it.
I was just sleeved this past Monday, I can't say how great my life is since doing it, but I feel stronger than ever having made this decision. Life will keep going, it's up to you to decide where you want to spend it....on the court, or on the sideline.
Hugs.

Oh and try laying a small pillow in your side & slowly roll onto it. Sounds weird but kinda rest your belly on it. Its worked for me!!!!I sleep on my side and this is the only way I can fall asleep.I was also sleeved September 23

Hi everyone. Just got home a few minutes ago. Got sleeved in Monday. Monday in the recovery unit, slept almost all afternoon. Wast taken to my room and my roommate was very chatty. The talking made me nauseous, and would make me cough. I wad coughing up dark brown with bright green mucous. Also, I would foam up and felt like I was drowning. Yesterday was better. Today has been good. The only pain I feel is a burning sensation in the site of the biggest wounds where they removed the stomach.

Have to be there at 730. 930 surgery time. Thank you all. So many emotions..... Good luck to you too tomorrow. Message me if you're up to it tomorrow
You too. You'll do great!! Just remember, this is just a stepping stone to get to the life we've always wanted.

Don't be nervous. Mine is tomorrow too. What time is yours? Mine is at 10. I am not nervous (more anxious, really). I was numb, up until an hour ago when my aunt texted me that she was proud and happy I made this decision. You did the hardest part: you started this journey. Hugz.

My surgery was Sept. 23rd. i've lost 92 pounds, but have been stalled for months. i can't blame the sleeve...it's been me, i've fallen into bad habits. im 35 away from goal. i wanted to lose them by my 1 year anniversary, but it looks like it might be by new years... we'll see.
