surgery at 6am pray for me

Keeping you in my prayers. Hope you have a quick recovery time.
  2. I just received my 12 sample packages from Syntrax. It took 2 weeks to for shipping but so worth it. Total cost including shipping $13. That's a steal. I have strawberry kiwi, crystal sky, vanilla bean, pink grapefruit, lemon tea, twisted cherry, apple ecstacy, lemonade, chocolate truffle, strawberry mousse, cappuccino and Caribbean cooler. WOW, what a combo. You have to call and request the sample package 888 333 7404. Good luck.

If I replace 1 meal with a protein shake pre op

Oh Scotts Girl above responded that her diabetes is gone. I also heard a story last week at one of the support meetings, 2 post op sleevers diabetes is gone. It seems this works for that. I'll keep you in my prayers and will follow your journey with mine. Good luck. Have you started trying out the shakes? That's what I've been doing.
  4. I haven't been sleeved yet, but If you're concerned about her, just call the hospital and say that you're family and just wanted to make sure she's ok. That much they can say.

If I replace 1 meal with a protein shake pre op

Oh and I decided to lose some weight on my own. My surgeon only requires a 2 day diet. Why? I don't know yet. But I plan on doing a 2 week diet because I keep reading about the liver shrinking. So, if I can avoid any necessary complications, then that will be one. Thank you ladies. I'm so grateful for these boards.

If I replace 1 meal with a protein shake pre op

Well I'm glad you responded. Haven't met anyone here with hypothyroidism so its good to know you're losing and have lost weight. That was one of my concerns with this surgery. Change of diet is not what truly scares, although, I don't know how I can live without my ice creams and sugars. I don't binge eat. I eat because I just love the way food or junk food tastes. That's why I decided to look into the sleeve. What truly scares me is that I am in remission (colon cancer) and I came across a topic on the boards about stomach/pancreatic cancer. I don't want to scare anyone here so I won't elaborate. But this is definitely something I have to talk to my oncologist about. Oh and death, yeah, that's another one lol. But that goes with any surgery. All of the concerns every other sleever has worried about or any pre sleevers. I'm so happy you responded. Good to know that the surgery can work for hypothyroidism. Well wishes and good luck on this journey. Hopefully I'll have great news 6 months from now.

If I replace 1 meal with a protein shake pre op

Thank you JerseyGirl. When I first started this journey in June, I was so excited that I wanted the surgery right there and then. To think, actually yes, to think, I would have not done the research like I did now. But I have another 4 months on my side. So I have time to think. Thank you.

If I replace 1 meal with a protein shake pre op

I've tried going on the weight watchers diet and I followed the meal plans, I managed to gain 6 pounds lol. But, I also have hypo thyroidism so I think thats why I gained weight. The whole cutting of the stomach scares me to pieces, lap band is no longer an option, too many side effects. Its a good thing I have 4 more months. But, I do feel that I'm on yo yo dieting so the sleeve will probably be my only option. Thank you so much.

    Depressed

If nothing else works then call her and fax her a letter staying you are reporting her to the medical board. Keep a log of all of the attempts you've made. Good luck. And don't give up.
  10. Thank you so much for sharing. That was very generous. I'm ordering as soon as I get home.
  11. Jerzeygurl, Wow I'm so sorry you had to have so many treatments. Well you keep kicking cancers butt. Praying that you come back clear. There are so many so called "cancer cures". But, I do believe cannabis oil is really good. Unfortunately we cannot get it in NY. I believe you may be able to get in PA. Just a thought. I also drink warm lemon Water every morning to alkalize my liver. And milk thistle supplement. I was first diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2000 and now colon in 2011. Having this monkey on our backs is so scary. Several of my drs. suggested going in for it. Well good luck and please let me know how everything works out for you. You're in my prayers.
  12. Thats wonderful about your dad. Many blessings to him. I was also concerned that they would not be able to do the sleeve since I had my surgery laparoscopically. Thank you
  13. Oh wow I didn't expect any responses. Especially since I posted in the wrong forum. Thank you Marlene for sharing. I went through 6 months of treatment (24 hospital treatments) with 2 added days of home infusion. Not sure how many inches removed but it was most of it. As sad as this subject is, is always helpful and hopeful to have other people in similar situations who can relate. I will pay for you as well and will stay in contact with you if that's ok? Thanks again and many blessings. Good luck with the surgery too. I can't wait for my date. I have 4 more months to go.
  14. Damn auto correct. I meant unhealthy outside food. Urghh.
  15. Just another thought. I plan on getting a small soup thermo so when I visit friends for dinner I can have mine handy or if you plan on being out for a while it may come in handy when you're feeling hungry. That way you don't choose healthy outside good. Good luck.

    16 oz in a couple minutes ?

I read in several posts and in my Vsg packet that warm liquids are easier than cold. I bet that soup was heavenly lol. And you do look awesome. Congrats.
  17. Heather - Sorry. Maybe you should try and plain protein and put it into low carb yogurt, or soup. I just purchased Proais protein shot, 25 grams protein and 5 carbs, 0 fat and 120 calories - Rite Aid $2.00 grape flavored. Pretty good. Good luck. You will find a way. You will make it.
  18. Just wondering if there are any cancer survivors on here. I'm a colon cancer stage 3c surivivor - 2 years in remission.
