I got it about a week after my test. Find out which medical supply company your doc uses and who takes your insurance (only 2 companies in a 60 mile radius of Nashville took Aetna - crazy, I know). Call tomorrow and set up an appointment for early next week. I see a lot of posts that people don't have to take their CPAP to the hospital since it's a short stay but I'm now at the point I don't sleep well without it. Do they say why they would delay it? I thought it was more for insurance approval rather than needing to use it. Good luck! Thanks, I did see the surgeon yesterday, and he said that if I don't have it by then, it will NOT delay my surgery. I am 100% on go!!!!! It may have been the sleep dr trying to scare me. He was a jerk the whole time. Complaining he didn't have enough time to treat me before surgery.

Uggg, sleep study came back positive for sleep apnea. I have to go sat night to have them determine what the settings will need to be on it , then they will order it. If I don't have my machine by the 17th the may postpone my surgery on 2-18. For those who also have this, how long did it take for you to get your CPAP machine? Also, had my endoscopy today, it went well, no hernias or anything, so that's good. I am getting so excited about this, not having any problems on the liquid diet other than a slight headache in the mornings that goes away once I eat. Hope everyone is doing well Leigh Anne

I start my liquid diet Tuesday, and have been trying hard to not have food funerals, but went out to eat last night with hubby and my parents. We went to a place that we don't normally go, trying to stay away from the favorites to avoid over indulging. When I got there, I ended up panicking and started to tear up when trying to decide between shrimp, steak, or salmon. Poor waitress didn't know what was happening. I ended up going with a combo steak and salmon, and we were all able to laugh about it a few minutes latter, but man, that came out of nowhere. My parents ended up with dinner and a show LOL!!!

Hi LeighAnne! I'm having mine done by Dr Lana Nelson in Norman, Oklahoma. I'm an okie girl. Lol I've never been to NC, but hear it's got great summers. Do you have your hospital list made yet?? I don't have it made yet, I was kind of taken off guard that my approval came back so quick. I am making a grocery list for my liquid diet right now. That starts Tuesday. Do you have yours yet? The only thing I know for sure will be lip balm and my iPad and of course personal items.

I had to provide 5 years, only had 4, but for that last year, they accepted a letter from a family member as a reference acknowledging my ongoing weight problems. And it worked, got the approval today.

Hey there!!! Same day!! Pre-op is the 3rd (Monday) then I start my pre-op diet Tuesday. Good luck!! That's awesome. Mine is at 7:30am, I am over the moon. My liquid diet starts Tuesday as well. And I have at least one appt scheduled for every day next week. This is really happening . I want to scream it to the world

I am officially approved. Surgery date 2-18-14. But scared because I woke up today with 50-75 red bumps all over my torso. At the dr's office now. Hoping this won't postpone my surgery

I'm not approved yet but am also having my sleep study, endoscopy and hematologist appt. February 4th, 5th, and 6th. Going to be a rough 3 days, but so worth it. They submitted to my insurance last Thursday. I hope it comes back quickly approved.

Mine was spread out in 2 days. The first day, was just a consultation, we spoke for about 30 minutes or so about why I was looking into it, was I expected afterwards. Then the 2nd day, was last Friday, that is when I had the test, it was 567 questions of true or false. Same type questions as the previous poster mentioned. It was easy and I even got my results today too. Yay!!

My psych eval results are in and the surgeons office said they now have everything to submit to the insurance. She said it will be submitted by this Friday. Sooooo excited .

Thank you, I ended up going with dr Gersin in Charlotte, Had completed my 6 months of diet dr before even seeing the surgeon. Had my psych eval last Friday so, now just waiting for those results to come in and they can submit to the insurance. Of course there are a few other appt's the surgeon requires but they are all scheduled. Can't wait, It is still very possible for me to have a late February date.
