  1. I used It too, just in case of something happening... I did have to get a release to go back to work, but was easy, just called them up and they faxed it over same day. I went back to work today, 1 week post op. But I did tell anyone and everyone that would listen,
  2. Mine was 7 days, but they told me it could take 30 days
  3. I hope you feel better soon. Things will get better, you're in my thoughts and prayers.
  4. How was your first day back? Although I am tired of being inside the house I am a little nervous to go back to work next Monday! I feel fine but I get tired easily! I also worry about getting all my water in while working I felt fine. I have a desk job but after lunch got tired and bloated I ended going home about an hour and a half early. Being in dress pants was the most uncomfortable. Thank goodness for a longer shirt and a private office. I ended up unbuckling my pants after lunch:)
  5. I had surgery last Tuesday and went back to work today. Also a desk job. It was fine but about 4 I started getting tired and bloated. But today was also my first day off clear liquids and onto puréed so that change may have contributed I was able to leave a little early. Didn't want to over do it
  6. You'll do great. And yes I think that thought is normal.
  7. 1 week post op and back to work today. YAY!!!! I was getting cabin fever. Also started pureed foods today and. They taste sooo good

  10. Lol, I have been jealous of y'all since y'all could be on full liquids, I couldn't even do that, only clear liquid... Broth, isopure water and sf jello.
  11. Yay, I get to try puréed foods tomorrow, have been on clear liquids for 1 solid week
  12. I hope they figure it out and you're able to feel better soon
  13. I'm so sorry to hear your lightheaded and no food. Hope your son gets back quick
  14. A little concerned Yesterday I was able to get in a lot more than I have been able to today. I have only been able to get in about 10 oz today. I feel soooooo full
  15. OMG. You have amazing results. I am just 4 days post op. With my Hw of 372. During this process. But my overall HW was 393. Would you mind telling us of your stats and timeline. You are an inspiration Thank you for sharing
  16. Hey guys. Today seems better so far. Yesterday. I think I ate too much chicken broth for dinner and was soooo full. But weighed this morning and down 5.2 lbs. YAY!!! I have been off the pain meds since Thursday. But still take some Tylenol extra strength at night. The worst part now is my BMs are now in liquid form. (Sorry if TMI). I do still get some gas pains when I drink, but they have reduced as well. Thank you all for being here to share this experience with. Hearing your experiences and being able to share mine has kept me from being scared throughout these first few days. This forum is AMAZING. but it is because of each of YOU!!!
  17. Barely any. I think my first day I got less than one shake down and maybe 48oz of water. My surgeon said that's totally normal and to focus more on water to prevent dehydration and another hospital visit. Yesterday was 6 days out for me and I finally got 2 protein shakes down and that was the third day I got all my water in. Wow. That seems like a lot. Today, day 3 post op, I have gotten in about 16 oz of isopure protein drink. Not much plain water. But have also been able to have 2 BMs today I feel fine just worried if I am getting in enough
  18. I have a question. For those who have gone before me. How much fluid and protein did y'all get in during the first few days home
  19. Yes I do. It is a strange sensation. But it does go away
  20. Hey guys. Last night was pretty good. Was able to sleep in my own bed got up several times to go to the barroom and walk. The pain medicines knock me out still. So am only taking half doses. Things are pretty good here on my day 2 after surgery. Gas x is my friend:) and walking around the house helps a lot too.
  21. Hey guys, I am finally home, Gas pain was horrible, and the pain meds knock me out last night was miserable. I walked as often as I could when I was awake.
