  1. i literally just posted about something similar. u said it better than me tho. while i havent had that fit look, i want it. i've just gotten a bit comfortable. just like you, i need to focus. thanks for the marker idea! may we both reach our goals together!
  2. Where do i begin? ok...well hey! my name is Jen. I'm one month shy of my 2 year anniversary. I haven't been active on the site in quite sometime. Since i dropped my weight, my life has changed. i'm so busy! always doing something. i'm back today though...shocked that i'm a veteran! i didn't realize. Lately, i've been looking at my progress. i've been able to maintain my weight. i'm staying under my surgeon's recommended goal. however, i still have body fat that i'd like to get rid of. somehow, because my clothes fit nicely, i've managed to slack off. so im back, because i still want to wear a bikini when i go away for my 30th birthday. i need some motivation. i need to know that i can tighten up. So, please, your stories, your pics, your success are(is) greatly appreciated.
  3. im not in long island, but im close enough. i live in queens. i'm one yr post op. best of luck to u!
  4. lol my good friend said she gets scared, because she's like "what if u lose so much, and cant stop and end up in a wheelchair?!" bless her heart...i said the body doesnt work like that my dear lol i really do have a great circle. but some ppl are definitely, beyond a reasonable doubt...clueless
  5. i dunno what was up with that doctor. just because that is the average size for an american, doesnt make it right. its no surprise that he reacted that way. what ppl dont kno, they question. i wish you the best of luck!
  6. yes, but i may adjust it to 105. I'm 4'7.5" in case u were thinking that that was way too low of a number lol
  7. Thank you all for ur replies and encouragement. so far no women have said anything, and thankfully i have more supportive friends and family than not. So im gonna still do what needs to be done, cuz im trying to make goal by march!
  8. so has anyone else been told that they should stop losing weight by people other than their surgeon or pcp? I have...twice in two days, two people said i should stop where im at. I have 30 or so more pounds to lose. so of course i said no, i wont stop. but im wondering what really is the reason. I'm guessing it's because they just like my size now. They also think im disappearing, and this could be because, of course, it's only been 5 months, and i've lost 50 lbs. Who else has had these encounters??
  9. thanks so much for this reply!
  10. im starting to wonder if part of my gassy issue is due to my hernia repair. because it just wont let up. ladies i have tried it all. with every sip, it's almost like i have the benz. and now i feel like there is something sitting in the back of my throat. this is way beyond annoying. i'd like to get on with being normal before i start to have regrets.
  11. thank you! i had to take a break and just rest. my gas has gotten better, although it took some time. i actually started taking the prescribed pepcid ac and voile...gas is better. go figure. i did throw up again today, but that was more of a gagging issue...im not getting all of the liquids i need since i was never a drinker to begin with. so my saliva is rather thick and it just felt yucky. once i get to heaving i hav to concentrate on calming down. tmi...sorry lol...but im feeling better. im getting so stuffed on purees. so my next goals are more liquids and learning my portions. i have NO idea wat size my sleeve is lol
  12. this is me...how is the gas now? still stuck?
  13. i just threw up at home for the first time. i dont kno if it was the new liquid multivitamin, or the gas that just wont go away. either way it sucked, and i've gotta tell the dr. tomorrow
  14. still cant with these cold drinks, and there is lingering gas. i pray every night for it to go. imma get my mom to burp me like a baby lol
  15. bwaaaaaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa
  16. Vitamin e oil
  17. i definitely meant to say fit flops lol...cuz if i have never had flip flops at 27, something is wrong lol i suppose you are right. that is work. cuz after those walks, i am like "wheeeeew" now this is a serious question. i find it interesting that you never learned to ride. soooo how will you learn? there are no training wheels for adults, or are there? cuz those are the best thing ever. you have a good list, i need to come up with one as well
  18. Mine definitely was. It was literally five minutes of rather irrelevant questioning. Luckily I'm of sound mind and I did my research, among other things.
  19. Tomorrow makes 1 week since surgery. I've lost 12 lbs, but I don't feel like I did anything. Yes, I walk everyday, and I stick to my diet as per my surgeon during this healing process. Still, I don't feel like I've begun to really do what is necessary. Maybe in the coming weeks. However, I still rewarded myself to start a non-food reward habit, and purchased my first pair of flip-flops Have you ever felt this way? What are some of your non-food rewards?
  20. They're healing. It's normal
  21. I have THE most unbearable trapped gas! I feel like it's the last bit. It just won't go! :'( I've walked, taken gas x, drank hot tea. I burp a tiny bit. Fart...and still. I just want it to releeeeeaaaaaase!
  22. before my surgery, i wondered...hmmmm can they make this roll without the rice? i dont see y not." u have confirmed my thoughts!
