  1. I think I might miss chugging. But I only chugged when I was super thirsty. Since we hav to always be hydrated, maybe I won't miss it as much. I dunno. It remains to be seen. U r right "sip sip sip"
  2. That was me too. Many blessings and good luck to u as well. I hope everything went fine and as planned!
  3. U kno what really rocks?! The "stockings" that massage ur legs!
  4. Yes! They told me it was the morphine giving me nausea. Made me vomit like twice. I didn't walk the first day I was so bad. Then they gave me something else. BOOM! I'm up and at them. Cold drinks are my focus now. I'm glad to read u are doing well as well! Best of luck
  5. Yes. Those r no problem.
  6. Thank u! I'm feeling pretty good. I'm working on intake. Haven't really been measuring. But I'm going to pay attention today so i can have somethin definitive for my post op visit. No pain a and I'm a crybaby for pain. Just a bit of discomfort. Actually the most painful thing was the gas, and the shoulder pain.
  7. It went well. He said everything was perfect. Everything up to now has been normal. U will enjoy ur stay, no matter what pain or whatever u are in.
  8. I was wondering, has anyone else had problems drinking cold drinks? I had surgery on Monday. Whenever I try to refresh myself with cold water, I find it difficult and a bit painful to get down. I'm working on it though.
  9. Hi. I was approved in about a weeks time. I had my surgery on Monday. I was told everything went perfect. The care I received at New York Methodist was awesome. I will b writing thank you letters and sending cards.
  10. Hey guys! I was finally sleeved yesterday morning. My surgeon told me everything was perfect. The anesthesia and morphine had me nauseous as hell, but I'm so much better now. Finally up and walking. I barely used the pain killer for my belly, just for my shoulder from the gas. Trying to eat more or rather drink more, but this hospital food blows. Sucralose all over the place bleh. Other than that I'm doing well. Thanks for all of your well wishes. Congrats to my fellow July 22 sleevers, and good luck to all future sleevers. It will be over before u know it.
  11. Thanks for this. I also heard it is protein first because we eat so much less, at least when we are full we hav gotten our necessary protein in. And in addition to the site u mentioned, check out the world according to eggface. Nice recipes!
  12. My July 22 sleevers...2 more days!!!! What have u done so far to prepare? I have purchased, soups, liquids (water, crystal light, Gatorade, smoothie/protein shake ingredients), bandages, etc. I'm really trying to prepare as much as possible. I took the gel power off of my nails, and got clear polish on my hands and feet. Today I clean up whatever is left and do my hair. tomorrow I drink that seemingly awful citrate of magnesia. Surgery is at 10 am for me.
  13. I'll b documenting, but not posting on YT. What is ur name. I'll subscribe to u
  14. thanks so much!!
  15. When do u bring this stuff with you? I mean, u will be on the table, and then recovery if nothing goes wrong. does your family bring it? how does this work??
  16. thanks for the clarification
  17. i know what you mean about liquids and Proteins. im the same way (pre-op) with liquids, and im still trying to figure out how i will get in protein since i dont like almost ANY of these disgusting-fake-sugar-having Protein drinks and powders. (im ranting on ur rant lol) anywhooooo, the vitamin bit. i feel u on that too. i got a daily vitamin keeper, and STILL forget to take em. i've just never been a medicine taker/pill popper. but as with all things on this journey...it will b an adjustment whooooo my sista! talk about a vent. I think maybe they didnt mention it, because it has become an integral part of their life. to them, it may not be such a bad thing.
  18. what do u mean no one told you? the nutritionist didnt tell u? dont you think that eating more than one cup of food, or even mouthfuls of food is what made the surgery necessary in the first place? kind of ironic. I'm hoping not to feel this...cuz im a bonafide foodie. #scared everyones advice was well put...good luck
  19. im not even gonna attempt isopure. actually i already did. and i immediately was like "wtf is this?!" lol smh. what does the left side pain feel like? and what is crystal protein?? btw. i'm glad you are doing well!
