  4. i've got you all beat! 4' 7.5" here!! NYC in the building!
  5. I had my pre-op yesterday. as far as i kno, it went well. I also had my last appointment with my surgeon until the big day. they gave me prescriptions for post op. It's getting real! just praying for insurance approval. sometimes i get emotional thinking about it. thats normal right? lol 16 days and counting
  6. last summer i realized my weight was out of control, when the seat bar wouldnt come down to my lap. I'm still waiting for approval, but im hoping that by the time im on my cruise next year i can have the same "rockin good time" as labellaskorpio.
  7. Hi, I'm 27 from New York City. I have a scheduled date of 7/22, pre op tomorrow, clearance on monday...and then the infamous wait for insurance approval.
  8. adargie, im in the same boat. I would lose and gain, lose and gain, and on my last visit i was up 2 lbs from my initial visit. Im scared too, and praying for authorization. I was told, similar to debdutah, that it didnt matter. its like they want to see that u really cant lose it. i was also told that the whole point of the surgery is because u cant lose it. but then i read that they want to see that u can stick to a program. i mean really and truly it is a very much a catch 22. we can only wait and pray. good luck to us and future sleevers.
  9. ppl have said im not big, or everytime id keep it 100 and say i was fat, they'd be like youre not fat. and im like look, u dont have to appease me. im morbidly obese and i know this. i dont kno what you see, but all these rolls are made out of fat! lol i guess in some ways its a good thing because they see me for me and not my weight. but lets call and apple an apple. yes boo, im near 200 lbs and way under 5' tall. so this procedure is necessary in more ways than one. #my2cents
  10. Mine is July 22nd! getting nervous! pre op testing is next friday...eeeeeek
  11. we will be surgery buddies! i'm having mine the same day, as long as insurance authorizes it. good luck to you. shall we keep in touch??
