  1. I'm so annoyed right now. I got approved and scheduled for surgery for August 6th. My hubby took off work to stay with my kids and am having a cousin who took off work help me with kids the following week. The surgeons office said that surgeon wont even be in that day..ugh..Why would they give me that day..so I got August 8th..rearranged everything for august 8th including drs appointments.. Then I get my packet in email saying Im approved for the lapband which i had inquired about initially but when i submitted my packet everything stated the sleeve. Ah so now scheduler tells me he doesnt do the sleeve on the 8th because his "sleeve" assistant isnt in that day. so now im waiting around till tomorrow so that I can rearrange my husband and mothers schedule as well as all my drs appointment..Little bumps in the road but still annoyed!!
  2. JUST Got my Insuarnce approval. I am being sleeved August 6th!! Now to takle this 2 week liquid diet. I can do 2 liquid meals and one protein and salad for dinner.
  3. Hahah. I just bought a beach chair the other day for the first time in a while from cvs...my a$$ barely fit in it....bring on the sleeve..lolol

  6. ME THREE For August 6th!!
  7. My surgery date is August 6th as long as insurance approval goes through. I start my two week liquid diet Juky 23rd, I will be having a light and fit dannon greek vanill ayogurt for breakfast, a eas protein shake for lunch and am allowed a lean meat and small salad for dinner. Only thing that sucks about having surgery early August is NO SWIMMING,,with2 small children this might be difficult..but a small price to pay for health..I too have a busy August but this was the only date that would work for me. Hopefully we can all keep eachother posted on our after surgery progress. Oh and my pcp called today after some blood work and told me I have High Triglyerides.. Surgery couldnt have come at a better time! Bring it on!

You should have seen a nutritionist, and they should have outlined for you an exact meal plan to help you!

    Pre Op Diet Disaster

Sometimes it takes things like this to learn and grow. Now you know that is important to plan ahead and I do believe that your "Mistake" has prapred you Better for surgery.
  10. Iam so happy I made this decision. Just got a call for my PCP this morning saying that my Trigylerides are HIGH... Im falling apart as we speak. This surgery couldnt be coming at abetter time!!
  11. I'm 5 '2 1/2 and flucuate between 223lbs and 227lbs based on the scale Im using..I know for me to be out of the over weight category I have to weigh 131lbs. Which I weighed my senior year in high school. I remember thinking how fat I was at my prom at 135lbs..lolol Only to look back now and see a slim beautiful girl in the pictures! I have 2 little girls 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 and hope that this surgery will help me to pass on a good body image to them. My mom was very overweight and always dieting so I guess that bad body image was passed on to me. I also have PCOS so I am anticipating a SLOW weight loss, but as long as it comes off, I am in no rush. I was happy with myself at 170lbs so hopefully I will be feeling "normal" again soon!! Still waiting on Insurance approval hopefully by tomorrow!!!
  12. Hey, I am scheduled for Aug 6th Surgery. I called my insurance compnay this morning and they said they requested clinical notes I think regarding my weight loss attempts..?? I submitted my 6 month diet forms. Anyone know what that means??? Im so nervous that they wont approve me..
  13. I am having surgery 8/6/13.I am looking into different clear liquid protein sources after post-op. I am considering buying (New Whey) 40g protein shots Gelatein 20 gram protein jello and unjury 20 gram protein chicken broth. I looked into Isopure but are almost $4 per bottle. Anyone else have any suggestions or reviews on the products I mentioned or any other ways you get in your clear proteins??
  14. Telling NOONE except my husband and my mother. I told my mom to tell my dad but that I didnt want to talk about it. She said he was very upset and wanted her to convince me not to do it. Which is the reason I dont want to tell anyone. I dont want to hear bad stories of someones sisters cousins step brother who had it done and blah blah blah. I feel that it is my decision that I thought long and hard about and noone elses. I do however feel like I am being deceptive. With all the pre-op appointments people were noticing something was going on. I just dont want to have the conversation about it with anyone, And I certainly dont want people to know that I weigh enough to qualify for weight loss surgery...: ) Maybe after I lose most of the weight I will share with others, but for now its my business..

    Best Post-op Protein sources

After doing research it seems that Syntrax nectar powder protein gets excellent reviews. Does anyone have any experience using this and is it good...bad??

    Best Post-op Protein sources

Thanks for the heads up about the new whey protein. I did research it and discovered that in fact it is collagan protein that is not even absorbed by our bodies. So dangerous to think that we trust these companies and they can do great damage. So suck it up and buy the Isopures : ) We dont eat out much and am pretty budget conscious with our weekly grocery menu/list but money surely does come second to health! How about Vitamins? Did anyone buy the liquid versions???
